ive had my STF's for like 3 months now and theres almost no fading.. so sad. any way to speed up?
Dec 03, 2009 @ 00:31
Flamebot. Unfortunately, there is not really a way to speed up the process. 3 months is not a long time. Be patient.

lol if u want a fast fade then u have to get some imprints, if ur tht impatient about fades then raw isnt ur thing

what's so important about imprints that make them fade faster?

What does spraying starch do to your jeans ? Been wearing STF's for about two weeks should i spray staarch on them ?

^^spray starching stiffens your denim up a bit. and yeah you can if you want them to stiffen up a bit, if not then dont. i personally wouldnt restarch a pair of jeans as it has its drawbacks.

its just the way levis dyed each thread where they dont hold their indigo as well as others... thus making them fade faster iirc. if not, lol, someone please correct me.

Drawbacks ? How about if i just restarch the honeycombs?

The knee bulges on my 501's STF's are extra big. How do I shrink them? There's like, stacks on the kneee area from the bulges :/

Look fake to me. The multi-colored stitching only leads me to believe that they are recent 501 model. Any recent Levi's selvaged 501's use a red-lined selvage denim. The stitching also looks a bit shoddy, leather patch looks off, and the denim itself doesn't look like any kind of Cone denim that the 501's have been using recently.

anyone have fit pics of 512s?

my levis
Dec 08, 2009 @ 13:36
levi's never ever fit me right.
Dec 08, 2009 @ 18:23
how "large" are they?
post pics
Dec 08, 2009 @ 20:10
I got the STF 501 at size 36x34.. im normally a 34.5x32 to fight snuggly and for the legs to just hit my shoe.
I got to say, after shrinking it, it feels perfect, and it looks great. i would size 1.5 up in the waist if you want a true fit.
Dec 08, 2009 @ 21:36
You'll be fine, simply wearing the jeans=fading. Time, activity, and fit all account for the process, so if you don't see results immediately, don't worry.
Dec 08, 2009 @ 21:57
why can't you wearem to school?
Dec 08, 2009 @ 22:28
if you dont like the fit then get other jeans
Dec 08, 2009 @ 22:36
they fade when you wearem then when you wash em they get more of a contrast fade
