I love the way Samurais look compared to other denim brands. Well I like that grainy look compared to the shiny jeans.

Is it possible for tagged size 32 Sams 710's to measure like a 29? Nigg on sufu is selling a pair and says they're like a 29.

Just ask him to take measured photos, if its 14.5 inches across then its a size 29.

Meaning 31 inches measured. Being a 29? That's what it says on BiG.

Sorry but I don't have any exp with Samurai denim. I'm 5'7, 130 pounds. True waist is measured too a 29. Would this pair fit me well?

Thats tagged on BIG.

If he hasn't soaked or washed, and the denim runs 31" measured then it'll still run a bit large (about 30) even after a soak, since your a size 29. If he soaked/washed already then don't get it, it'll run 2 sizes to big and won't have much more room to shrink, maybe .5.

Samurai S710xx2nd 15oz, one pre-soak, one soak, approximately 3 months of wear.

yes. the standard is still 19oz. the 15 oz texas cotton was just a special edition for 2nd.

the sizing chart says it will shrink to 91~3 cm
or you could ask someone who bought a pair from 2nd recently

mine is 17 oz, because i bought from BiG.

2nd's 710s are 19 oz because they have arcs and tabs.

the 2 arcs weigh 1 oz, and the red tab weighs 1 oz

so 2 arcs + red tab = 2 oz

and 2nd's 710s are 19 oz(17oz + 2 oz)

I bought mine from BiG and they only weigh 17 oz.

Also traffic is bad when it comes to the inter, sigh m whats the deal wif airplane food?

Ok so each arc is .5 oz.

And they have 2 arcs so .5z + .5oz is 1 oz

that means that 2 arcs is 1 oz, if u do the mathetmatics son?

also the tab is red, red is heavier so it is 1 oz.

so all and all you have .5oz arc + .5oz arc + 1 oz + 17ozdenim = 19 oz

yeah they streched out everywhere really and pretty quick. Hopefully these dont stretch that much


That sucks, same thing for me. Kinda makes me not want to wear my zero denim anymore. I should have enough saved up for the Black Knights hopefully and start a new pair of blacks =o

Nah they weren't washed/soaked already. So if I got them they wouldn't really be true to size then? It'd be like sizing up?

since they haven't been washed and it measures 31', after a soak it should shrink 2 inches in the waist
im guessing that pair is a tagged 29 so it will shrink to 29 waist
and that is going true to size for you, since ur a true 29...i think

mine are 3 months in and are nowhere near that...although i guess its been a lot less than 3 months since i only really have been wearing them 3-5 times a week since june....

mine should get a lot more wear with the semester starting though

Hot washed my 710's. They didn't get soft at all. ^_^

FEELS GOOD MAN.



BTW, Roughan, yours didnt come with arcs?

2'nd 710's do come with 38 inch inseams pre-soak I think. I didn't measure mine, so idk.

Sarcaustic, what was your screename before that one? I remember seeing you post a long time ago by your pics, but I don't remember that username.
