searched here and on sufu but couldnt find any info. whats the leg opening of 5000vx post soak, preferably size 31/32? also, how bad is hip flare on these? my only "real" concerns that hold me back from copping...

here's the chart from big pre soak. for post soak take 2 inches off the waist and inseam and .5" off everything else.

Can anybody point me in a good direction please?

I'm currently in the market for some Samurai's.

I've looked on Sufu and on BIG (where I plan on purchasing from). I'm currently looking at a few pairs and am hoping people here can help me choose between them.

S710XX19oz
17oz S5000VX
19oz S710BK19oz (Are these technically black? If so, not them)

I'm 5'10-5'11, 165-170 lbs. 33 1/2" waist (where I technically wear my jeans). I lift weights and have pretty big thighs (22"-22 1/2" in the biggest part). I'm not the typical super skinny dude. I'm muscular and athletic (not crazy huge though).

I want something that will fit my body right. I don't want super skinny AT ALL but I'd like a slim fit. Nothing baggy. Any help is appreciated.

also, i suggest you look in to the samurai 0500xx. it's in between the 710 and 5000 in terms of fit. cheeps old samurais were 0500xxs if you remember those.

Thanks, I'm going to go with the 710's NOT in black. I got confused after reading so much on Soho and BIG.

About sizing. People on SUFU are saying go true to size (which would be 33) or size down 1.

I'm supposed to soak these, correct? If I go true to size or size down 1, will they be TOO TIGHT post soak? Thanks.

Selling my S5000BK's if anyone wants em. They're getting too tight for me now since I am trying to gain weight. Need a bigger size. Check out my sig for more info.

if you size down 1, it will probably be too tight after soak.

So, am I right to go with a 33? BIG says a size 33 is 34" in the waist..

Thanks dukes. Would order a 32 (technically 33) be too tight ya think? I know jeans tend to stretch a bit.

19oz denim doesn't stretch all that much in my experience.

My waist is a 33.

I'm leaning towards S710's in a 32.

Figure they'll be a 32 after the soak.

Probably will stretch to a 33 after wear.

Will they be too tight?

No, I sized down on mine one size so you should be fine with the 32s.

Logikal, if you have bigger thighs, SIZE UP ONE OR TWO. It's slim fitting , so even though the waist fits true, the rest of your body might look iffy. Specifically, your thighs.

Just what I've come to find out b/c I'm looking into buying 710s as well, and am also not the typical skinny dude.

Logikal, quit listening to those guys over at Sufu. They like their shit nut-crushingly tight. If you look at mine, I sized up 2 on my waist and after the soak, they fit perfect (if you look at my wdywt). Just to give you an idea if you have "fit" thighs. Hope this helps.

Thanks homey. I'm looking for a fit like yours. My thighs (at the biggest part) is about 22." I just don't want to size wrong and have them be too big and stretch out too much, ya know?

Diplo, you got fit pics?

Decided I'm getting my s5000bk tapered. They look good as is, but I'm super OCD about the way they look, so I'm gonna go talk to the tailor and see whassup.

(advanced apologies for the ridiculousnesss of standing on a chair, but we don't have fullsize mirrors here and i was looking for a quick solution, haha)

Need opinions on my S710XXs. Do you guys think I should try another hot soak to shrink it more?

Here's pre-soak fit out of the packaging:

Here's post-soak. I like them, but do you guys think the knee stacking/bulging is OD? Worth trying to soak again to lighten?
