I can't answer for him, but APC's are vanity sized meaning you have to size down as your actual waist size is usually about 2 sizes down. Samurais are not vanity sized. That being said, Samurais can stretch quite a bit, I have seen a pair of 30's stretch to a 34, I've owned a pair of BK's that were tagged 28 and they measured out to a 31" waist. It's not a comfy process stretching them out though, and you'll most likely wind up with a pair of skin tight 710xx's, IMO size down one at most as it's already a pretty slim tapered fit.

You are like me then, when I owned APC's that was the size I wore, so if I were you I would go with a pair of 710's in a 28 or 29 wasit, depending on how skinny you want them.

Ohh, alright thanks. I'm leaning more towards 29, it's just that I've seen people with a tagged size of 30 that looks like they have the same built as me and I like how it fits on them. I haven't seen a fit pic with someone wearing a size 29, so I'm wondering how much slimmer it looks.

If I were you I would definitely buy brand new then, go TTS if you think it will look best. The thing is the waist is really the only thing you have to worry about. I'm not sure what your build is, but I'm 5'6" and 130lbs, I fit perfectly into a 29, I haven't tried a pair of 28's but because the 29's fit me perfectly I wouldn't bother with a pair of 28's.

I personally disagree with what the other people said regarding weight, the weight really doesn't have anything to do with how they'll fit, they'll be harder to stretch out but otherwise that's really it. The difference between a 28 and 29 really isn't significant enough for me to wanna go through the pain of stretching the 28 out.

Oh yeah, same goes for any denim really, regardless of weight. My Flatheads that I just got are a size 29 (and although my size) the waist is seriously uncomfortable right now but it just needs to stretch out a bit.

Well, my pair of 710's were tapered, but it was really only the leg opening that was changed. From what I remember the APC's are not as tapered as the 710's, they're more of a slim straight leg while the 710's is a slim tapered fit. My pair just tended to tapered be more so than the average pair. I would say in general is basically the same slimness, just that the 710's are more tapered to the bottom.

I'm 5'9 142, with 31" waste. I currently have a pair of Weird Guys Sz. 29, which I havent washed yet that fit pretty good. I want the 710xx 19oz and I'm thinking I should get a 30 or 31?

Storm: Please do some research,but I am nice so I will say no, 710s do not comparable, PS are pretty tapered all around, and the slimmest Sammies I can compare to them are S003JP, slimmiest Samurai models.

iLL WiLL: I would go 30, once they stretch out it will hit 31 waist.
