Can anyone with Lot 14 710's shed a little light on post-soak shrinkage? I'm looking to get approx .5" or more out of the legs and thighs. Will a hot soak or two get me this?

yeah 0,5" is pretty normal and can be achieved with 2 hot soaks. Even more with a machine wash

Knew I should've just asked you from the get go b_F....I know you've mentioned machine washes being a little rough, would you recommend just a wash cycle and no spin?

I have a hard time recommending it because if they come up totally wrinkled and lightly faded with marbling...you would blame me ;)
IMO you should soak in the tub with hottest tab water, move the jeans in the water with your hands (after the water isn't too hot anymore) and let them hang dry. Then you will see if they shrank enough. If not, a second soak or the machine wash are still an option.
But yeah, don't spin it.

Imo I think you'd be alright if you get em hemmed to a 32...I'm 5'8 as well and honestly a 30 inseam is perfect for us w/o cuffing....just cold soak it if you want to keep it at 32
34 inseam doesnt really look right on 5'8 and under

I'd say get them hemmed to 34, you don't want to have them shrink up to a point that u cant go back to. If ur getting from BiG just send them an email with your height n they'll be able to tell you wat a good hem length would be
