I think you just got lucky TK. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, lot13 is black arcs and a red tab. The white tab however, has the upsidedown A in "sAmurai" meaning that the pair is limited edition.

Im pretty sure the white tab was the first set from lot 13, when everyone thought samurais wouldnt have arcs anymore. Most people that got them from BiG when they first came out got white tabs, when i was there this summer all of their 710's had white tabs and everything else tab/arc-less like normal.

^^How did you get those white tab sammies?
I thought it was like this:
BiG=No tab
Japan=Red tab arc
???=White tab?

For a short while earlier this year, Samurai stopped doing red tabs and only did white tabs in the wake of the Levi's lawsuit. Now they are back to red tabs.

not at all im about a 2 months into my 17oz 5000's and there mad comfortable, first week was a bit stiff but nothing unbearable

not at all im about a 2 months into my 17oz 5000's and there mad comfortable, first week was a bit stiff but nothing unbearable

I agree, I think 17 oz. might be the ideal denim weight for me.

i dont like heavy duty jeans, it's too hot in the summer. i am perfer medium weight jeans like fullcount 1108.

i dont like heavy duty jeans, it's too hot in the summer. i am perfer medium weight jeans like fullcount 1108.

I've had no problems wearing up to 21 oz. denim in the summer, and I live in inland Southern California, where temperatures average in the high 80s and low 90s during that season. Any heavier than that, though, and it does get a bit rough.

I will admit, though, that on the days when it gets over 100 here, I can't wear any jeans at all, regardless of denim weight. On those days, you feel too hot even in shorts.

I think that's what I paid for my 710's last April from 2nd.. BiG in soho raised their prices by like 25 bucks or something.

No, it's because the dollar has weakened against the yen substantially over the past year. Their prices are still pretty reasonable compared to buying directly from Japan and paying for international shipping, plus they hem for free on jeans purchased from them.
