jay, the stretching depends on the denim. Not all denim stretches a lot like APC's. My Samurais honestly stretched about an inch, if even that.

They won't stretch much.

I'd say ~2 inches, actually. When I got my sz 33s they were ~35, now they are maybe 32.75.

k thanks and if I were going for a slimmer fit 3 sizes down wouldn't be recommended cuz of waist size right? I'm eyeing the 24oz ones right now in particular and they have 2 and 3 sizes down from what I usually wear

im not sure if that is a good idea because these jeans were not made to be sized down 3
if you are looking for a slimmer fit, i think theres a 21 oz ironheart?

Personally, I wouldn't size down more than one. Samurais shrink a fair amount when you wash them, and that 24 oz. denim is going to be uncomfortable for you to stretch, especially if you size down too much.

Closest cuts would probably the 710 or the 500, but I don't think either are quite as slim as the Weird Guys.

I don't know if they are actually slimmer, I think they are just sized smaller.

When I buy 710 what should I size if I'm TTS 30?

I understand you have to presoak it

With that cut, I think it looks best TTS. If you want a tighter fit, you could size down 1, but I don't think I'd really go further than that.

Yes, you should presoak it. Of course you should check the fit in between soaks, but I would recommend at least 2 hot soaks before you start wearing full-time.

Sizing up 1 is something I've seen people do with this cut as well. It should be fine if you do this, but just be aware that it will be a looser fit.

Yeah, they stretch a lot. They can stretch back to raw size and often even beyond.

well if you size up, it won't be as tight on your waist and it will stretch less
if it is tight on ur waist initially, obviously there will be more stretching

It really depends on how you want the jeans to fit on you. If you size down, the fit will be slimmer. I personally like TTS the best on this cut.

Maximum shrinkage on Samurais tends to be 2" in the waist and 3" in the inseam. Usually takes multiple soaks/washes to get there, though.

I don't think that there is an absolute inseam length for Samurai. They all say 36, but my pair was like 38.5 after a few hot soaks. A hem is pretty much guaranteed
