Ok so I just dropped in to the store because I was outta town this weekend.

50% off damn! I might have to cop the slim guys & maybe taper them, 21 oz cool I wonder how they will fade. I'll probably cop mid-february if you guys still got 'em for 50% off. I'll probably taper them to 8.25". 8.5" is just a bit too much for me.

thats what i dont get about sammies, their 21 oz turn into 24 after soak. where does that weight come from?


when its new, the denim is at a medium tension. if its 21 oz, that means one yard of fabric=21oz. as you wear it tho, it stretches to a point of higher tension where its actually less than 21oz per yard. contrarily, when its washed, the threads relax and bunch up very tight, resulting in that heavier feeling. technically its heavier per sq yard tho nothing is added. just takes the same amount and shrinks the container.
