So the heavier the denim the faster they fade? Or is it the lighter denim that fades faster?
Jan 22, 2013 @ 01:50
This is like the 5th wear they stretched quite a bit more. I feel that they are still stretching to.

Just throwing this out there to see if anyone with the same problem can offer some advice.. Happens with all dyed and unwashed denim, but hasn't really been addressed here.

Some of the indigo dye on my N&Fs rubs off onto the shoe tongue. Not a problem on darker shoes, but on the white tongue it can be sort of a hassle. Warm water and soap has been my go-to, and prevents the problem depending on what surface your stain is on.

Edit: After searching around a bit more it seems that this problem is basically unavoidable. Gonna go with the "tape your cuffs" trick and see how that works.

Try taping the cuffs. You can also spray water repellent on your denim and the area where your denim meets your shoe. They both worked for me.

You could always try a soak and get ride of some of that excess indigo. Also, what kind of shoes are we talking? I've had a lot of luck cleaning my white canvas Purcells and Vans by doing an overnight OxyClean soak.

anybody here who owns a pair of Deep Indigos and Japan Heritage and thinks, just like me, that the JH fade a lot easier/faster than the DI?

The JH already show some slight fades after like 30 days of slight wear. In comparison the Deep Indigos needed like 2-3 months to look like this..

I think it's just the deep indigos. I have been thinking exactly the same about my hemp blends :D.. They have faded more in less than 4 months than deep indigos did in almost a year of wear.

Yeah the Deep Indigos were a bitch to fade. blushing

I want to get some Japan Heritage 2s. Do I soak upon receiving them to get the shrinking done? How much should I expect in the waist and length shrink because it says they will shrink a full size after washing? Do thighs/knees shrink too with unsanforized?

Thanks, that's actually what I was just thinking.. I'll give it a try. And it's happened to the white tongue on my all black Supreme x AF1s, and my Nike SB WPFs. The WPFs have a suede tongue, so I've had luck simply brushing it off. Removes most of the indigo, but still not all of it. Taping cuffs doesn't help because it's the outside of the jean that is making contact w the tongue. Gonna try a soak on the bottom 2-3 inches of the jeans, I'll let you know how it works.

How many sizes should I go down in WGs? I e-mailed N&F and they did recommend sizing down 1 for a slim fit or TTS for a relaxed fit but all over the internet I see alot of people saying you should go down 2 in WGs and even on Tate and Yoko (the site N&F themselves recommend) size down 2 in their sizing chart for WGs.
Feb 09, 2013 @ 01:28
I sized down one on mine. The fit is fine everywhere but the rise, which is a little snug.
Feb 09, 2013 @ 06:18
I would start off sizing down 1. I went tts on deep indigo and still got a skinny fit. Any other comp. That labels their jeans as skinny is pretty much the fit. I'm tiny so it's not tight any where for me. I should went down 1 tho.
Feb 09, 2013 @ 16:47
Thanks for the replies, so you sized down 1 from the tag size or the actual waist size? On this webiste http://tateandyoko.com/Naked-Famous-Weird-Guy-Indigo-Selvedge.html it says there's a difference between those sizes.
Feb 09, 2013 @ 19:46
Anybody got evo pics of the dirty fades?
Feb 10, 2013 @ 00:52
Having a hard time finding the Weird Guy Indigo Selvedge in size 31, it's sold out here on hypebeast, tate and yoko and some other places don't accept PayPal which I use. I'm located in Europe (Netherlands), anyone knows any online stores I can try for this model?

Spring 2013 shirts. Definitely wouldn't mind owning a few of these.
Feb 11, 2013 @ 06:39
Those deep indigos are nice! Wish I had combs, either I soaked too soon or just not enough wear. I only put about 20 hrs a week in them for almost a yr. the front looks pretty much like yours. Wish I had a nice camera to take some pics
