The Slim Jims are made by Nudie and the Weird guys are made by Naked and Famous. Regarding sizing, people usually size down 2 for Slim Jims (Nudie Jeans) and up 1 for Weird Guys (Naked & Famous). If you are referring to Slim Guys, which are made by Naked and Famous you can size up 2 for that since they aren't vanity sized.

watch out if your not a thin build and size down 2, they will be extremely tight around thighs

I agree with APC being the better cut. I wrote off N&F because I couldn't find a perfect cut for me. the skinny guy's rise is too low while the weird guy's thigh is too big.
