for some reason my jeans dont wanna stretch... been close to 4 months with my SG momotaro collab and they still fit as tight as day 1. Could button em up all the way but really tight overall.

lol they plan to make hemp and silk denim?

lol this is the least expected blog i'd find out from btw.

Haha I know, right? I found out from rawrdenim.com first, but I was really surprised to find these posted on Gizmodo of all places. XD

I would never buy the hemp denim in a million years. Hemp is just an eco-friendly cash-grab that appeals to environmentalists, hippies and potheads, but the quality for denim is just not there. I haven't seen the silk yet, but I'm not sure how it could be terribly different in terms of feel from the cashmere denim. The ones that do interest me are the "Red-Core" jeans. I mean c'mon, red fades? That sounds pretty awesome.

Am I looking at these stretching as much as my APCs do?

As in should I size down twice?
March 02, 2012 @ 02:34:00
I just copped those Red Cores from Tate + Yoko. They ship tomorrow. Gonna be sweet.
March 02, 2012 @ 03:05:43
NF cuts make me cringe. something is always off about the way they fit. i would just stick to apcs or go higher up in the food chain for the money some ya'll are shelling out
March 02, 2012 @ 07:19:56
I hear yah..Either its too tight or too loose in key places... but skinny guy's seem to almost get it
but sometimes they can win for yah especially on sale... cant go wrong with 100$ e2's or 90$ nep's

I got a pair of Frankenstein 2s. I would describe the color as dark grey with a shade of light brown. Up close the fabric looks to interesting to stare at, and from afar it will appear to other people as just a dark grey jean. I'm curious as to how these will fade.

Funny, I feel the same way about APCs. Hate everything about em. Cringe-worthy indeed.

Hey guys! Need your help, I've already searched the forums and havent seen too much help. I bought myself a pair of elephant 2's and I only have like 2-3 hours worth of wear on them...so no set creases or anything. Should I bother giving them a pre soak or not? People tell me its not necessary, but the store bag I brought them home in did have alot of blue bleed inside of it. Thanks in advance!

I am debating whether I should soak mine or not. What do you guys usually do?

I am wearing the broken twill and have been wearing my denim for just over a year.

I think soaking after a year is a good deal.
It also depends on how much/hard you've been wearing them but the "1 year" mark is pretty good, imho.

I got those 28 SGs.
I usually wear a 30 so I took a big chance sizing down 2.
Luckily my true waist is like 29.5, so it's not crazy bad.
Snug is the best word, not a struggle to button.
Lucky I like my jeans tighter than most.
Pretty sure in a month or two they'll stretch to perfection.
Pics when I get a chance.

How are you guys sizing on the Elephant 2's?
