omg now i'm even more tempted to start my pair... that is the PERFECT fit... and i sized the same way you did (down 1) so hopefully mine will fit me almost if not exactly the same as yours... btw, when you first started wearing them AFTER the hot soak, could you button all the way or they stretched? bc i read on Sufu that they hardly stretch, which sorta worries me bc i can button these up alright now, but i have a feeling after the soak i won't be able to

Thanks, if I remember, after the soak, I only had problems with the top button. Although, because I sized down there was more tension for stretching so they stretched out perfectly to my waist allowing me to button all of them. You should be fine, wear them a bit damp, it is easier to stretch them. Also, the denim is extremely stiff after drying, my denim is still incredibly stiff even with time of wear I am at.

ya i can only imagine... mine are still brand new, and they can almost stand up on their own... i cant even imagine what these are gonna be like after the soak... i'm willing to do w.e it takes to get them to look as good as some of the ones i've seen on Sufu... imo, no denim is as durable or fades as well as Eternals do

Yea, I took a seam ripper and ripped it out from the coin pocket, stitched it, then ripped out a segment of the backpocket and slipped the tab under there and sewed over it.

864s and their infamous low rise. I've had them for a while, maybe just under a year of continuous wear. Many crotch blowouts, snags, a few holes from falling out of or off of things, etc etc.

Don't forget to take into account that after a hot wash/soak the inseam will shrink anywhere from 2" to 3".

The raw and one wash are the same thing for all essential purposes. Once you soak your jeans and waste a good bit of time with the soaking, you'll realize that you have pretty much the same thing as the one wash. I would recommend going for the one/wash because for somebody who is new to this like you, its much easier than to predict shrinkage and how they will fit for the raw. I purchased the raw version of these jeans, but simply for novelty purposes and because they didn't have my size in the o/w. You definitely want to hem these jeans. They are not the quintessential slim jean and are based off of a vintage (67') cut. Having that much stacking and having very slim just accentuates the fact that they are very roomy in the top block, and decently slim. They're not that small in the hem, so lots of stacking makes them look sloppy. Technique has a great fit on these, not the average 811 fit, but still nice. But, they do look sloppy because of the length, and a hem would look much better. What I would do is hem to +2 of your true inseam to account for any further possible shrinkage and to have a bit of stacking. Besides that, they're a great jean, you'll really see the difference between them and what you were wearing before.
