Well I got size 29, which the leg opening is 8" raw, after a soak or wash they should be around 7.5" which shouldn't drag excessively at the heel. Anything 8" and abv. shouldn't have long inseam, IMO.

The measured waist will shrink to tagged size

The sizing get's a bit thrown off at size 33 and on, with wanting a slim straight I think the fit would be slightly more on the straight side, with the leg opening still being around 8".

Size up one size on the one wash. You can go true on the raws and figure out how to soak them such that they don't shrink past your waist size (really not difficult at all). I'm going to getting the raw versions, I went true to size and Gordon said I'd be fine. Although the leg opening will be a bit big, I'll be wearing them mostly with boots, so I'll be fine.

Oh haha, woops, I looked directly at the picture then to your name.

Hm, I would guess they were delayed in production, because since they were pre-ordered, they were made on the spot so some issues could of came up.

Nope it was a perfectly fine decision. I discussed it with Gordon and I will be able to manage, the eternal denim is actually forgiving with stretching, at least 1". There won't be various challenges, the one I will have to worry about is the pain. No pain no gain

Yup, the pain is the main challenge. Don't be surprised if after a soak they measure 28 or a bit less in the waist. Gordon never says no or anything negative at all in general.
