The Works Garage by Iron Heart

I'm in Tokyo for business and was invited out by the president of Iron Heart to take a tour of their newly opened shop. I think i was more excited to see the motorcycles than any other part of the store or jean repair facilities. The store is out in Hachioji City, but worth the trip.
We drank quite a few glass bottled Cokes, talked heavy denim, discussed further projects, picked up some finished pairs of sample jeans, and admired their collection of Iron Heart branded bikes.

It's interesting to see that in Japan this brand is purely for guys on motorcycles yet outside of Japan it appeals to a very wide range of customer and has no limitations based on whether or not you ride a bike. These guys live and breathe motorcycles and it's another interesting take on a classic American culture through the eyes of the Otaku Japanese.
On to the photos..

The Works Garage

The Iron Heart Collection of Bikes, Some of which are just shop bikes and used to go on sales calls.

A $70,000 custom bike with sterling silver buttons and accents made for the Iron Heart president by Richard Stark (founder of Chrome Hearts)

Dressing Room and Stock

Custom IH Arcuate Seats and Tanks

Pin-striped Buco Helmets

Works Garage Staff Manager, Tom. This girl looks small and rides the largest fucking Harley Cross Bones you've ever seen, it's an amazing sight.

Hiro replacing some regular rivets with sterling silver ones.

The SEXIH07 jean, 19oz unsanforized Japanese selvedge denim, straight leg fit with a bit of taper, burly denim that's as heavy as Iron Heart's normal denim once soaked and shrunk down but fades like Flat Head's denim due to the loomstate nature of the denim and dye properties. Designed by Diesel.

The SEXIH07BK jean, the overdyed version, seriously insane and will fade to indigo.

Self Edge x Iron Heart = SEXIH07 - BORN TUFF

The third collaboration between Self Edge and Iron Heart has been over a year in the making. This jean, designed by Diesel, went through multiple changes of fabrics and cuts until it's final iteration was conceived in a jean that would be not only a very versatile cut but in a fabric that would outlast anything else.

A heavyweight unsanforized denim which for the first time ever from Iron Heart ages with extreme contrast and great character that rivals the best Japanese denim available today. With a silhouette that Diesel designed to fit every body type we've decided to do these in a wide range of sizes due to it's extremely versatile fit.

We're very excited about the black version of this jean, the SEXIH07BK. This version of the SEXIH07 jean has been overdyed black with a fugitive pigment dye which is an unstable and un-permanent dye that fades to later show the indigo denim underneath. Essentially this is a denim that begins black and fades to indigo in high friction areas, or what the Japanese call the "atari" fade. This particular model is what we feel the most original and exciting fabric we've ever put into a jean.
Iron Heart released a set of overdyed jeans (using their flagship 21oz sanforized denim) four years ago, those turned out to be some of the best looking worn jeans we've ever seen from the few people that got their hands on a pair, we expect these to look even better considering what's underneath the dye.

Diesel says "THESE JEANS ARE BORN TUFF - RUFF RUFF"

The SEXIH07 and SEXIH07BK jeans will be released at Self Edge San Francisco & Self Edge New York at Noon (Local Time) on Saturday, December 5th.
The jeans will also be available online at 2pm (PST) the same day in the online store.

Check our online store for more information on this jean, a complete specification list, measurements, and hi-res photos:

Ironheart 301s fit pic for the cuties.

ffffuuuuuuuu...

This is what I don't get and is keeping me from pulling the trigger on these.

Why do they fit complex (who sized down 1) like a nice, slim, tapered jean, but the dude that kiya just posted a couple posts above mine looks like he's wearing a skin-tight skinny jean?

Kiya, can you clear this up for me, please?

maybe he just sized down more than 1 or the dude above sized up, can be a variety of factors.

I'm guessing that they sized the same, usually the selfedge model wears a 28, and he wore a 29 in these. I don't think this guy sized up. Plus, this guy is wearing his jeans below his hips, thus giving them a distorted appearance. If you want an accurate measure of how the jeans fit, I would go with the selfedge website picture. Also, everybody has different bodies and body proportions, so jeans will fit differently on different people.
