Sep 12, 2011 @ 23:24
you don't go on superdenim too often then
Sep 14, 2011 @ 20:21
is the thigh od tight on yours laxlife? cause man, I'm praying that they stretch out more
Sep 14, 2011 @ 20:59
At first, it has stretched out a bit though. They will stretch out more though, if you went TTS on a 30 or below keep them otherwise I would personally recommend sizing up a size if you are bigger than a 30.

Can anyone tell me the tapered fit, closest to Imperial's Shearers or APC PS or N&F Weirdguys?
And how would you size? I'm a 29 tts, and I went TTS on Shearers and they fit me perfectly.

IH 666od, sized up 1 to a 30. Pretty happy with them, really wish the thighs weren't so damn tight though.

Self Edge x Iron Heart = SEXIHXINDO16 - Forever Two Wheels

The new SEXIHXINDO16 jean is a collaboration between Self Edge and Iron Heart with a nod to our Indonesian clients. There is a strong denim and vintage loving community in Indonesia and we wanted to make a jean for them with one of their favorite brands. Everything from the fabric to the fit to the leather patch was made with the Indonesia community in mind.

We're proud to have a reach that far around the world and this is our way of recognizing their dedication to vintage style American garments.

The fabric is a heavyweight unsanforized denim which is exclusive to Self Edge and was developed for us for the SEXIH07 jean. It was the first time Iron Heart had done an unsanforized denim, it ages with extreme contrast and great character that rivals the best Japanese denim available today. With a silhouette that we designed to fit every body type we've decided to do these in a wide range of sizes due to it's extremely versatile fit.

Iron Heart Mock-Twist Shirts, Micro-Cord Shirt, and 25oz Jeans

We've started to receive shirts and jeans from Iron Heart's Fall/Winter 2011 collection.
Starting it off is a set of mock-twist fabric shirts available in both red and black. The fabric has a nice heft to it and the body is triple-stitched for durability.

Next up is our favorite fall shirt to hit the store yet. It's a black micro-cord shirt which has a double woven weft so the inside feels very smooth and the fabric is windproof even though it's light-weight. The outside is so soft it feels like velvet, super flavorful indeed.

We've also got their new 25oz denim jeans made of a dark indigo sanforized selvedge fabric. These are available in both the 634 (straight leg) cut and the 666 (slim leg) cut.

Looking good so far!

Hey, how did you size on your 666ODs? I tried them on at SELA the other day and found that I had to size up to make them not skin tight in the hips and thighs. Sizing up gave a great initial fit, I just would want to make sure they don't stretch too much.
Oct 28, 2011 @ 12:47
Thanks! Well if I had to redo my sizing I wont, I went TTS, and I would've even sized down if I could fit into them but I couldn't. They should be skin tight though they will stretch out a ton. But if they're are really tight to begin with sized up one get that size, I was able to button up all the buttons the first try if that helps.

I wouldn't say that they were tight sized up one, they fit pretty much the way I would want, but if they stretch out a ton like you said, they may end up being too loose for me.
Oct 29, 2011 @ 21:09
Well if you look at thinn finns over on sufu you'll see they stretched out a ton. I think he sized up 2 or 3 though, but he also has big legs while I have very skinny legs. But from what you're saying I would recommend going tts. I find that mine have stretched a fair amount and while I could sag them nicely in the beginning now I find that if I sag them they just look ugly now. If you could button them up with ease but they were still tight go TTS then and don't SD1.

Lax did yours stretch out in the thigh area at all? I can button mine up, but damn the thighs are tight.

Yeah, honestly I should have went with a 29 if it was possible since these have stretched a ton. They are still tight but I find that these have a bit of hip flare.

Iron Heart Super Heavy Shirts & More

Every year Iron Heart does a new batch of heavy weight shirts for the colder months, this year they've gone up a step by offering a wider range of shirts. We've received four shirts from them this week, three of which are great for keeping warm.

First we have the Blanket Lined 8oz Denim Overshirt, it's an early 1970's style lighter shade of denim that's cotton flannel lined with the the original Troy blanket lining pattern dyed into the flannel. The sleeves are also quilted with satin for warmth and comfort. The shirt has hand-pockets and two snap-buttoned chest pockets. We love this thing and couldn't wait to get it into the stores when we first saw the samples in Tokyo.

Next up we've got two heavy flannel shirts in solid colors, both with hand pockets and two buttoned chest pockets. This shirt is available in both black and navy.

Finally we've received Iron Heart's take on a wabash fabric shirt. They start with an indigo dyed cotton yarn that's later discharge printed with the dots to create the wabash pattern. This shirt fits great and has a nice heft to it without being bulky or uncomfortable.
