I just copped some 301s as well, they're tight as hell right now. Gonna wear them in and hope they stretch. Heaviest jeans I've ever owned though, holy shit.

they're 27s. havent stretched out that much. but they dont fit me at all whatsoever. i think you'd have to go tts or down 1
November 15, 2010 @ 02:42:22
Definitely go 1 down or TTS, I'm one down right now and my hips hurt from wearing them. The denim is super thick where the seams are, so it's a pretty painful break-in period - at least in my experience.

IH634s: 238 days+"1 month" by previous owner.

Detail shots when not lazy, but still pretty dark.

^ Those look really good.

I'm gonna sell me 301S and try to get a pair of the 634S, this just isn't the right cut for me. Any tips on how to size the 634s? My true waist is a 29.5"~

Iron Heart x Self Edge CPO Jacket

One of our hottest items this winter is a jacket we did with Iron Heart out of a black and gray heavy cotton fabric with a super lightweight inner lining. The jacket has a 2-way metal zipper that's anodized black with tan leather pulls.

The jacket fit is great for wearing anything from just a t-shirt underneath to layering underneath with multiple long sleeve shirts. We're excited for this piece because it's not only very versatile but very functional in terms of how warm and lightweight it is.

Only done in one run, there are no restocks on this item.

Specs:
100% Super Heavy Cotton Flannel
Triple Brushed Outer
Black Anodized Metal Zipper
Quilted Super Light Weight Nylon/Poly Lining
Rinsed Fabric (Will Not Shrink)
Two-Way Zipper with Tan Leather Pulls
Slash side pockets and patch breast pockets with double button fastening
Made in Japan

After the Samurai contest, I'm planning on getting a pair of 634s. I'm probably gonna size down atleast one. Lefty, how did you size bro?
November 16, 2010 @ 21:33:39
You guys seriously like Lefty's fit?

Honestly shit looks mad sloppy.
November 16, 2010 @ 21:53:30
The Js don't do the fit any justice
November 16, 2010 @ 23:59:57
got a better size pair of 301s coming in, hope they don't fit like ass
November 17, 2010 @ 11:42:50
Whenever I measure my 'waist' it ends up being like 32/33, 'hips' being 33-35. I got 32s, I could have probably got 31, but for the price($150shipped via third party), i could care less. For the experience and fit, its all good, just living and learning.

Whenever I try things tagged over 32, always seems too big and falling off. These sit at my hips with no sagging options, not to say these are skin tight, but they sit at my hips. I would rather have my nuts breathe than suffocate.

I suggest trying IH634s on if possible, or be willing to ship back to exchange if you don't like the sizing opted.

Knee bulges are there, along with hip-flare, but that is probably because of the straight cut. The shoes I choose to wear are usually bulky, or boot-like, but I like wearing all my jays, and these ones are a particular fave, and by the door.

Cool Comments & Criticism.

Full body shot would give a better idea of how the denim fit imo.

lefty's fit looks good, minus the stacks. Hemming a couple inches would take that "sloppiness" away..it's harder to get away with stacks on a looser/straight fit than it is with a slim/tapered fit.

I think you should go size down because of that hip flare. It will only get worse - unless you sag of course.
November 25, 2010 @ 03:44:06
well, i do sag. and those were stretched by a previous owner. im gonna soak them soon. if all else fails, i'll size down
November 25, 2010 @ 14:31:16
looks fine to me

Where else other than selfedge can you buy 301s? And when is selfedge restocking?
November 25, 2010 @ 20:34:58
I thought I read that SE was gonna restock pretty soon. Other than that you're gonna have to go international.

If they were stretched out by a previous owner, soaking might actually help.

ironheart.co.uk has free international shipping, and their customer service is outstanding. I'd definitely recommend checking them out.

Going International won't help. The 301s and all 301s derivatives are ONLY available at Self Edge...
