I wanna get some Thin Finns, I'm 5'11 and about 130lbs, would 29/36 be ok for me? I don't want them to be skin tight, but I'd like them to be skinny, will they stretch out a bit or should I size up 1. I wear a 29 in Levi's 510s.

I'm pretty sure you don't need a 36 inseam (becuase i'm also 5'11"), I think you'll be fine with a 34.

From what I've seen around, do people find the quality of these jeans not as high as other japanese denim brands?

Do they bleed a lot?

I here about them all the time and my only experience is with Naked Famous, Levis, 7even's, Tommy.
I have tried on many APC, Nudies, Cheap Monday

Just not sure of the quality over time?

they are more straight leg, and dont have a taper. You can size down enough to make them slim, but they are not the comparable NewStandard cut.

The Average Joe is their tapered-straight cut. It's taper just isn't as strong as the NS. The Easy Emil and Even Steven are the more true straight cuts.

You'd have to settle halfway. I'd still check out the Average Joe because it's a great all-around cut. The hem would be a bit bigger than on the NS but it's definitely not too wide as a true straight cut would be. Or you can try the Big Bengt that would have more room in the thigh than the NS but a similar leg opening.

Actually... the Average Joe is the true straight leg, Easy Emil is a loose straight and the Even Steven is the tapered straight.

From Tobi:
Even Steven

34" actual waistband

34" inseam

10" front rise

14" back rise

24" at upper thigh

17" at the knee

16" at the leg opening
Average Joe

34' actual waistband

34.5" inseam

10.5" front rise

15" back rise

24" at the upper thigh

18" at the knee

16" at the leg opening
So the Even Steven has a lower rise, dropped pockets and a smaller knee which promotes a slightly more tapered fit. When I have people try it on though, its almost exactly like the Naked & Famous Weird Guy.

Why don't you try a Grim Tim? People who usually like the NS go with a Slim Jim or Grim Tim usually.

Yo I'm looking to buy a pair but was wondering if the slim jims would be too tight. I like my jeans kinda slim like WESC slim or Levis Capital E Matchstick. Maybe some Average Joes? any help would be great thanks

I got my sjbt a year and a half ago today. It's sad really, they fit when I got them but I started to slowly put on some weight, and now I can't even button the things. Probably only have 6 months actual wear on them. sad

They're almost exactly the same. Stick with Slim Jims. The Avg. joes are like the standards.

Yeah the difference between slim jims and the joes are very small, I would say the joes are slightly roomier in the thighs. I'm a guy with big thighs (aka fatty j/p) and I've owned both pairs if that helps.
