Those were diors lol, but sizing down 2 should be ok..better if its stretch denim though, for obvious reasons

i would probably go with the grim tim. the thin finns are tighter, but are more like levis 510s i would say. grim tims are skinny legs with tapered bottom, and the general rule of thumb for nudies is to size down 1 from your true waist.

I've worn lots of different brands of denim, everything from Ironheart to Imperial to Flathead and I think cut wise the Slim Jim is my fav. Quality isn't even in the same league as mentioned denim but I just copped my second pair of SJ (first pair was like 4 years ago) and I forgot how much I loved them. I do tapper the SJ to a 7.75 opening though then it's perrrrfect.
