Yeah, the Dukes are similar to Slim Jims, there's no taper... it's a slim tube leg cut.
If you want taper go with the Shearers...

I got dukes in 31 black and they havent stretched all that much.

Anyone wanna trade some 31 or 32 shearers blue or black for some 31 black dukes? I must have gained a bit of gut or something, the thigh really kills me. If you want them but dont have shearers, ill take some apc nc at 29 or even let them go for cheapppppp. Hit me up.
Really wish I got the shearers now.

well your paying about 100$ more for the dukes, you could say they are higher quality and you dont have to deal with all the stretching of a pair of APC's. Imperials have longer inseam, a backpocket design, nice meaty leather patch, the denim looks pretty durable as well..

hows the cut? from the measurements i got from selfedge for the dukes and contextclothing for the standards, the dukes are tighter around the thighs? i want a black pair of dukes, if that makes any difference at all and have an indigo pair of NS thanks

I think there is only a slight difference between the bk and blues, the bk's are probably a lil smaller but very slightly ( i think, someone correct me if im wrong)
for dukes the thighs are tight, go true to size, I dont think anyone would reccomend szing down in the waist due to the thighs, unless you either have the body type for it, or you want epic cock fades

x2. I've owned Kings and have Dukes now and have never had any issues. I did size up though, so mine don't strangle my balls to death like other peoples do.
