just picked up some dukes. how should i shorten the length? and anything i should do before i wear them? wash/soak etc? i want them to be soft and shrink a bit (im no denim expert). thanks in advance du's

Yeah u can hot soak them and they will shrink up a bit legnth wise and waist.. Then they wil stretch out after u wear em for a good fit..

Two things..
1. Why the hell did you even soak them? The denim is sanforized
2. The water you used was too hot, any piece of leather will burn and crack if you put it in extremely hot water.

^ he wanted them to soften up and wanted to shrink a tad.. Also i soaked mine in some hot ass water and it didnt do that to the tab... Unless he wore em while they were still wet?

^ Super hot water + sun dry is not gonna be good for leather. Water in general isn't good for leather. At least that's what I've learned cycling.

exactly what i did. our taps run really hot water and it was a hot day too so it dried in a couple hours. it has completely crumbled off now btw.

It's all good. Live and learn. I'm sure the denim will still wear and evolve great despite the poor patch.

Hey guys, I'm thinking of tapering my pair of imperial dukes in black 29. Ive had em for over a year now, but actual waer is probably only like 3-4 months MAX (probably less) There are next to no fades, but stacks have settled in.

Reason I want em hemmed is because I've been waering my APC NC and N&F weirdguys a lot and kind of like the tapered leg opening more than the straight leg from the dukes.

Do you guys think it'll still look ok/nice if I tapered them now? Or would it be a horrible idea since stacks have somewhat setted in?

Sup guys,
I recently purchased some Imperial Dukes from the SE online shop. Theyre nice and everything but when I try them on they sort of fold over my butt on the logo part and it looks really weird. I took a picture for you guys. Do you guys know what the problem may be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
