How do the Imperial Dukes fit compared to Levi 511s? I'm like a size 30 waist in 511s what size should I get for Dukes?

About 7 months now... Not much fading... I either don't do enough to wear them in... or they're just really stubborn...

madmad late on this; uni's been hectic.

had these imperial kings tapered to 7 in (previously tapered to 7.5) and hemmed to 32 inseam end of august.

September 26, 2010 @ 20:07:21

FreshWang03,

How does the selvage look now? Is it wider?

I'm thinking of tapering my NS, but don't want that wide ugly selvage.
September 27, 2010 @ 16:30:16
yea the selvedge is alot wider; apparently tapering from the inside is more difficult and my tailor said it'd cost $20 more so i didn't bother. I don't really cuff these anyways.

I just bought those from somebody on the forums. He listed it at 36 x 30 so I'm assuming it's been hemmed. I'm guessing these are Imperial Kings but I really don't know. I'm hoping you guys have some input... getting hemmed to 30 inseam I imagine they're going to be pretty baggy.
September 30, 2010 @ 00:11:40
are you fucking kidding me. what are you gonna do with a 30 inch hem? the leg opening is going to be huge...
September 30, 2010 @ 00:30:31
isnt that the pair that were like 50 bucks...the hem kills them
September 30, 2010 @ 13:19:39
^ Yeah i think so...

unless the dude is short then it wont be that bad.. Still might have to get em tailored to get em tapered...
September 30, 2010 @ 18:35:00
yea but they arent gonna look like dukes at all =/
September 30, 2010 @ 22:21:34
I'm 5'11 and usually wear a 32 inseam. Any input as to whether or not they're kings and what I could do about the leg opening?
October 01, 2010 @ 17:15:43
Lol you're 5'11 & the inseam is 30!? They're gonna be flooding.
October 02, 2010 @ 00:43:33
Looks like the only option is to get them tapered and sag them a couple of inches. At $50 they'll be flippable. Thanks for the input
October 02, 2010 @ 00:53:17
^ What is your waist size?

36x30? Damn, dude must've been chunky.
October 02, 2010 @ 01:38:09
I usually wear 34 x 32 so 36 x 30 is a stretch, but I can't lie, $50 for new imperials is something I couldn't pass up. I'm planning on taking the imperials and a pair of sugarcane's to self edge and see if I can get them both tapered at a discount. I might have to send them down to Denim Doctors in LA otherwise. If anybody's had experience with adjustments at either store I'd appreciate any recommendations, although this is probably the wrong thread for it.
October 02, 2010 @ 01:51:09
^ i use denim doctor here in LA and never had a problem.. They are very good at what they do!
