Alrite. Can i use detergent when i wash it or just plain water when i put into washing machine?..

You can check out the denim care thread for information like this. Just do a little research before you ask because someone's most likely asked the same question before. blushing

hey guys im planning on getting a pair of imperial shearers
i have pretty muscular thighs so i think this is the perfect fit more me.
how should i size these?

Personally, I don't think you should get Shearers just because you have muscular thighs and the jeans have more room on the thighs.

The shape of your body is important when buying jeans, but I think you should also think about the cut of the jeans. Have you factored in the tapered leg opening and the higher rise of the Shearers?

Consider Dukes because I've owned both Shearers and Dukes, and I definitely enjoy the cut of the Dukes much more. I sold my Shearers to my friend, and he's actually thinking about selling them too because he also doesn't like the cut.

There's nothing wrong with Shearers, but what I'm trying to say is look past the facts that your thighs are muscular and the Shearers have roomier thighs. Because when buying a nice pair of jeans, you should look a bit more into it than that.

Go on the Selfedge ( http://www.selfedge.com/shop/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=33 ) website and compare the two.

Good luck. blushing

Denims is dope. Did you add those tear marks yourself?

I think Huy's been wearing them for more or less than 13 months, so it's the natural wear doing the tearing.

Lol, thanks. Nah, not hating on your choice. Just a simple preference; it just felt weird to me when the lower leg was tapered and slim, but thigh had more room.

They look good on you though. And yeah, I was gone from HB for a bit. Been busy.

shearer
My actual size is 32 and how many size down is recommended for a pair of shearer?
April 03, 2009 @ 08:23:44
shearers are roomier in the thighs but are still slim/skinny below the knee. its a slim fit but not too slim, but then again it largely depends on your body shape and how much you size down/up.

just check out the selfedge website for measurements

I sized 2 inch down, will it stretch atthe thigh to become baggy? cause its a bit tight at the moment...
April 03, 2009 @ 09:35:53
from the pics acquisition provided a few pages back, the thighs of shearers are gonna stretch for sure.

dont see much goin on but they fit good

and btw which imperials have a nice slim straight leg fit shearers or dukes. I like my NS (sized down between 1.5-2) but I think i might get imperials next.

Dukes are more slim-straight. Shearers are more slim (and they're tapered). If you want to stick with the APC NS fit, the Dukes would be the most similar.

kk thanks
April 05, 2009 @ 17:02:05
Anyone know what fit of Imperials would be most similar to a pair of APC Petite Standards? Not loose like NS, but not tight like NC. I just read that the NS fit like Dukes, but I saw a pair the other day and they looked like my kind of fit, not exactly sure though.
April 05, 2009 @ 17:16:46
i'm not 100% sure, i've only had shearers. but i'd say seximps,
April 05, 2009 @ 20:53:10
Dukes dont fit exactly like ns. They're a little slimmer. but the closest to PS would be shearers or sexi's.

I'm looking at getting a pair of black kings and seem to be in between sizes (34 and 36). so my question is how much will they shrink in the waist when washed in hot water and how much will they stretch in the waist and seat over time?

I assume the indigo kings will be different so I am specifically asking about the black kings.

Thanks
April 05, 2009 @ 22:08:38
It depends on what kind of fit you want. If you want them slimmer, size down and they WILL stretch. If you want looser, get more true to size. Either way they will stretch unless they are like, wayy to big for you. So it comes down to what kind of fit you want.
hope that helps
April 06, 2009 @ 04:32:58
SEXI04 = Dior = New Cure =/= PS

(•_•). ( •_•)>⌐□-□. (⌐□_□)

April 06, 2009 @ 11:38:36
so everyone here would agree that petite standards most similar fit in imperials after sexi04 are shearers?
April 06, 2009 @ 12:28:12
I dont think I would be able to size these down. When I tried my normal size on the waist was ok but the seat was tight, so I would hope they would stretch there as well.

Anyone know how much the Black kings will shrink when washed in hot or cold water?

I have pretty muscular, big thighs too. Do the Shearers feel tight on your thighs?

I saw your fit, and it looks perfect. How tall are you?

PS - Could you post a fit pic with the Wallabees on? Thanks.
April 07, 2009 @ 20:41:55
the shearers are made w/ bigger thighs. So they would probably be perfect for you^^
If you get a chance try them on somewhere to see if you like them but if not, yes the shearers have bigger thighs.
April 09, 2009 @ 11:54:51
Anyone ever size down two on some Dukes and live to tell about it?
April 09, 2009 @ 12:38:00
I doubt it lol. True to size was hard to button. I couldn't imagine sizing down two

I sized down 2 for shearer, got 3 buttons buttoned at the beginning and had to wear it high up. After few months of 3/week wears its finally starting to get baggy like it is meant to be at the thigh.
