The Official Skull Jeans Thread

September 21, 2008 @ 21:08:14
Ive been looking at skull jeans for a long while now but im not sure if its worth it or not. I really love skinny jeans but my girlfriend criticizes the fact that i was contemplating forking out that kind of money for a pair of jeans. Especially since i can just buy a decent pair of skinny levis under $100 that are just fine. I'm putting some real thought into it now though because they are just different. And they look bad ass.

So are they really worth it? (if so where should i buy em and how long would I be waiting for the shipping)
September 21, 2008 @ 21:13:09
the quality and fading is superb but if you think levis are the same then just cawp that

just tell her they cost ~100$, that's what I did. They don't need to know how much you spend on your jeans haha.

and yeah, they're really worth it.

do 50-01xxs fit more like NC or NS?
September 22, 2008 @ 21:08:54
NC. tapered all the way down

edit: if you want NS style, get the 5507xx

September 22, 2008 @ 21:39:35
I rock 33 in NS
measured 34 BiG style.
32 or 33 in 5010xx 6x6 ?
September 22, 2008 @ 22:14:43
rock a 33, dont size down.

but im going to assume you sized down one on your apcs, so your true waist must be a 34 (35inches)

just go true to waist

September 23, 2008 @ 09:50:08
err wow I totally lied right there.
Rock a 30 in NS haha
Still stretched out to a 34 BiG though.
September 23, 2008 @ 17:40:21
er..try to go to a tailor to get your waist measured becuase when you reference your waist with APC denim its confusing due to the amount of stretching

for skulls id say its either true to waist or size up 1

Fuck it ive made up my mind haha. Im gonna get skulls on restock day. I've been rockin low-qual denim for far too long. And I imagine i'll be able to keep these for a while so they'll pay for themselves
September 23, 2008 @ 23:13:31
I'm waiting to officially start rocking my 5010xx 6x6 on the first of October to look fresh on the Eid, which is a main Muslim holiday where everyone gets fly and goes to the mosque and kicks it with family and friends...so I'm holding off the soak til the night before, but I took 2 fit pics of them w/ no soak or wash. And they feel like heaven already, EXTRA stiff though

what difference is the soak gonna make??

September 25, 2008 @ 16:02:48
a soak will shrink them down a little bit in the waist and thighs and knock a lot of that starch out. they will stilll be pretty stiff when they dry though
September 27, 2008 @ 11:25:48
stay true playa.
September 27, 2008 @ 18:28:46

i'm glad i wear a size 34... i just copped some 5010xx's today...

i wore them for an hour today... fit is a little tighter than i want, but i think it should stretch a little bit which would result in a good fit... i'll post fit pics tomorrow if anyones interested
September 29, 2008 @ 23:51:16
I am! (no homo)

mine are actually drying from their pre-soak right now so I'll start wearing them tomorrow and post some post-soak pics

most likely, i got papa smurf all over my boxers and the inside linign of my shirt but that was when they were semi damp, if they are dried you should just get minimal but some blue here and there to tease you
