Only three more weeks till I get my flatheads. Im either getting the 1001s or the f310s...I have to see if I like the heavier denim/fit* of the 1001s first.

*I know they are the same cut, but the longer inseam might make it a little different and what not.

Kiya, can you still return jeans to SE if they have been soaked already?

pretty sure we won't see anything till the 7th for the SE05BSP. can't wait though. i'm hopin' for a 7-7.25 hem with a 9-9.5 rise on the 29 <3

The Flat Head 3005 & Restocks

A new jean model from Flat Head has just come into the store...
The 3005 cut, which is a straight leg classic cut made of their famous 3XXX denim, now available from sizes 28 to 40.

Flat Head fine tunes their cuts into models that do exactly what they want them to. With the 3005 their aim was to introduce a classic straight leg fit jean for those that wanted a little more room in their jeans. The denim is Flat Head's famous 3XXXX which is known for it's intense fading properties including a nice vertical fade.

We also received a restock of the 1001 16oz Heavy Denim Slim Cut and the F310 14.5oz Slim Cut jeans.

my true waist is a 36. am i screwed when it comes to F310/3001s? I know that you should size up 1 but those models dont come in my size? I just need some slimmer denim. haelp?

You could just get the 3005 model we just got into stock, it's the same jean but with more thigh room and a slightly lower rise.
The thighs on FH jeans tend to shrink about .5" after a hot soak.

hmm the 3005 looks good but i wanted a smaller leg opening and the f380s look just a tad bigger in the thighs according to the measurements with a smaller leg opening

I think it looks fine. My friend recently bought a pair of 1001's and he got true size, but he has big thighs, no homo..

i've been eyeing on a pair of FH 1001 for weeks now. according to the sizing chart at selfedge.com, size 32 seems to fit me if i were to wear it the way it is without soaking. should i just get size 32 since i rarely wash/soak my jeans or should i size up/down?

this would be my 2nd pair of raw denim, coming over from a pair of Nudie Bootcut Ola size 31. for my Nudies, i size down one size since i was planning to stretch it out and now it's nice and comfortable. but after reading further about denim here, seems like some people like to soak them so it fits better? i'm confused by all these things, it's like "shrink to fit" vs. "stretch to fit". kiya? what's your input on this?

another question. what about hemming them? i'm 5'8'' tall and my Nudies length is 32 which is too long but seems like behind the knee, there are all these creases (honeycomb/fishnets) that makes it slightly shorter. so i think the length of those FH 1001 is definantely too long and how should i go about hemming them and considering that one day i might need to wash/soak?
