still breaking in two different pairs of IH666s though.

Hah, well if I can I will try. They're unflattering on my frame though, just tried them on still damp and I'm not in love. I'm probably going to post them up for sale soon, I just found a deal on a pair of headphones and I'm going to need the money and I bought a pair of Strike Golds along with these so I'll keep the Strike Golds.

Hi guys,
I found a pair of 1001's online for a pretty good price ($150), and I had some questions about the general fit of them.
They fit just like the 3001's right? Like a skinny-slim fit? I had a pair of IH-666SOD's that were WAY too tight on me, and I had to let them go because of how skinny they were. And I'm usually a size 30, but those are 32. I think I can fit them because I have a few other levis in size 32 that aren't too big, but will these stretch out in the waist too much?

That being said, the 1001 is the 3001 cut in a heavier 16oz denim. I'm not gonna try and toot my own horn anymore, let the other members on here refer you.

On another note, what size were your 666s?

To be honest, from my experience levis tend to run small. Flat heads you'd probably be able to get away with a size up but that's about it in all honesty. If they're brand new and you can wear them with a belt then you can get away with it, but if they're used that means they are probably all stretched out so chances are they're going to be a bit big on you.

Not trying to steer you away from the other person, but do yourself a favor and buy denim in your right size, if you have to question whether or not it fits or not, don't buy it, I've made that mistake many times before and you only wind up either losing money on it or time away from being worn.

And yes, what size are your -- well, were your 666OD's? They are supposed to be super tight at first... for reference, my 30's which measured 28.9" at first have stretched out a good solid 2 inches to about a 16" waist and I have to wear a belt to prevent them from stretching anymore.

Same exact fit, 1001 is 16 0z vs 14.5. 1001 has button enclosure vs. zipper fly

Best to go TTS or size down 1.

How do you size on Flat Heads. I'm a 5'7 dude, medium build. My TTS is a 29. I wear 28 in APC Petit Standards, 27 in APC New Standards.

I looked at the measurements for the FlatHead x SelfEdge SE05BSP, and the lowest size was a 28. 28 is already a size down one for me, but the measurements for a 28 were huge! They were almost that of an APC Petit Standard size 30.

Is there just a discrepancy between measurements, or do Flat Head's really run that big?

That's actually their size but they're unsanforized so they'll shrink a little. I'm sure they'll be a very nice slim if not skinny fit on you

whoa forreal? It just seems strange to me that they would fit on me.

The measurements on a 28, size down one Flat Head are as followed--
thigh- 11"
knee- 9"

In comparison, an APC Petit Standard size 28, sized down one (what I wear) measures--
thigh- 10.5"
knee- 7.5"

so obviously, I'm a bit confused because the Flat Heads are significantly bigger in terms of measurements than the APC PS.

flatheads and most proper jap denim arent vanity sized like apcs, nudies etc so you go tts, they measure what they are tagged, will shrink with a hot soak and then stretch back out to tagged size

also you cant compare thigh and knee sizes as they are different cuts, nothing that flathead does is as "skinny" as a pair of ps

Those FH are a total different cut compared to the APC's.
Where did you see the knee measurements for the FH?

05BSP sz 28: waist- 29 thigh- 10.9 hem- 6.7 inseam- 41 rise- 9.6 They're gonna shrink too

The different denim companies are going to have different measurements as they're going to have different cuts. Go look at Pure Blue Japan x011, I think they're similar to PS too. Never owned them but they're a slim tapered fit

@lckychrmsbboy in a nutshell, i just wanted to know if a size down one would be too big. they don't have to fit like a PS. Just as long as they fit slim lol. But it seems apparent that a size down one should fit, so I think i'll pull the trigger on them. Thanks everyone!

Too big? Were talking about FH here not the ridiculous sizing of APC. TTS will be slim, sizing down 1 will be very slim...

My daily wear has been a pair of PBJ XX-011's for the past couple years and I'm thinking of moving onto a pair of FH's... How much shrink should I expect in the 3001's and the 1001's? Does FH have any slimmer models?

I believe the BSP's at SelfEdge.com are slimmer than the 3001's. Both are pretty damn skinny specially if you have a "normall" build.

I'm like a twig and pretty sure the BSP's would be damn tight on me. Check out SE for measurements and what not if you haven't already
