I acquired some f380's during a trade that were a 34 (my true size) and after 2 hot soaks and a tumble dry they are still a very loose fit. I would size down to a 33 if I could find a pair. Unless you want a very loose fit, I would recommend you size down one for that cut.

Can these awesome fades be assured if I get the Flat head Straight Frontier 380? Since this is BSP.

Oh okay thanks man. Doesn't matter though because I had no idea they had a darker indigo on the official website, the S5001 14 oz. definately about to cop one next time they restock. Wish they carried it on SE, so I could just go and buy it..

Anyone know when the offical flathead website restocks normally on denim? Or more specifically, the S5001?

Awesome fades are never assured, it depends on how you wear the jeans. But if it's the same denim like Bandwagon said, your chances are pretty good.

after 8 months of wear. one pre soak and one soak about 3-4 months ago in warm water.

Flat Heads can be some stubborn ass faderz. Just keep wearing and you'll get results, it also looks faded, just that he took pictures in the dark almost or low light. Also, if you give it a wash they will probably look better.

Did you give them an initial soak when you first got them? I did with mine, about 3 months ago, and I'm already starting to see fading around the whiskers and knees. I think it soaking accelerates the fading.

yea i warm/hot soaked before i started wearing and warm/hot soaked about 3 months back

You're definitely supposed to. They're shrink to fit.

I recently came across a pair of SE05BSP's. They are pretty damn tight, I can just get the top button done up. I know they will shrink about an inch, but will these effect the fading I will see?

Basically I'm asking if a more tapered fit would result in different fades in comparison to wearing a baggier, less tapered denim?

they could shift your fades if they shrank so thats why you should do a pre-soak so that you can get most of the shrinking out of the way

wearing a tighter more tapered fit can result in, i assume, tighter honeycombs and more intensity in the fades in the whiskers

What he is saying doesn't apply to Flat Heads or any kind of unsanforized (shrink-to-fit) denim, which has to be soaked prior to wear. He's probably only had experience with sanforized (pre-shrunk) raw denim, because what he is saying only applies to that kind of fabric.
