Hey guys, I am thinking of getting a pair of the Flat Head x Self Edge SE05BSP's. They are pre-owned but not showing much wear at all. Just how slim fitting are these? They are a 33 waist, with Nudie Slim Jims 33 waist a bit tight but 34 is a bit loose. Do you think the Flat Heads will fit me ok? If they are a little too tight, can I soak just the waist band for a little bit then put them on still wet so they stretch out? This will be my first raw Japanese denim buy so I am a little unsure about all of this.

If you find that a size 33 are tight in Slim Jims, you definitely won't fit into the BSP's.

I got a 2nd hand pair of bsps in a tag size 32 and the waist fits fine. i wear a 31 in dukes. 30 in apc. and the like i said, wasit is ok. in the tag size 32 flatheads. im sure it could stretch, but the thighs are a bit bigger on me. So if you think you can make the waist work, the thighs will probably be alright.

I'm not going to risk it. Since this is my first foray into raw denim I am going to go with a less expensive brand. I Just got a pair of APC's in the mail today but they are a bit too loose in the waist. I also have a pair of Naked & Famous Skinny Guys on the way. If I love raw denim and these work out well, then I will move up to the expensive Japanese denim for my next pair.

Those APC's will stretch out A LOT more, I suggest exchanging or selling for smaller size.

Has anyone bought from Rakuten? There are some Flat Head 3001s on there that I would love to get but I hardly understand the site and some of the options they give me. It's weird
