Hey guys,

I was wondering how SugarCane Okinawas fit? I usually wear straight or bootcut and hate nuthuggers. the 50% sugar cane fibers kind of worry me also because from my "experiences" with sugarcane, the fibers might be itchy if it is in a pair of jeans. let me know. thanks

Personally i love Okinawas, i think they're one of the most underrated jeans out there.
The fit is close to a 1966 cut and the denim is amazing looking once broken in.
Here are some measurements and more info if you're interested:

These are NOT baggy.. They're a classic straight leg fit, they're even narrower than a 1947 cut..

yeh i just picked up a pair last month (I live here in Japan near Osaka), they are nice denim, the cut is straight and the denim has a slight sugarcane smell when you first buy it. It is true that they are a lil itchy for the first couple wears, but after a bit they are fine. Also, although they are one wash, the dye tends to bleed/run off a lil bit, my hands always end up with a blue tinge to them so cold soaked them a couple times.

they are real nice, and relatively cheap here. I paid about $150 for them instead of whatever ridiculous price they are charge in the States

please post a pic. I've been trying to look for a pair of sugar canes that fit me, i have bigger thighs and wear a 35-36 but want something relaxed/little baggy. i love the okinawa's but they seem to be too straight fit. Any sugar canes that are more relaxed fit with some more space in the thigh area?

^Well if you dont want a straight fit then the okinawas are not for u. I would suggest the Union Star`s which are fairly relaxed/baggy, if you want sugarcane and you want a fairly baggy fit.

how much more baggy are the union stars? i don't want baggy BAGGY. Its sort of hard for me to explain because i don't want jeans where the thigh is too small. I notice SE notes that the union stars are only half an inch bigger on each thigh in a 36. DOes anyone have a picture with the Okinawa's on from the back side and the side? other than the one from SE.

Naw man i got them for 200 shipped on ebay. Legit too. he sent me all the pics i asked for and offered a full refund if it was fake. He doesn't any but 2 feedbacks comments which are both positive for sugar canes so i jumped on it.

Got a good deal i think. 200 is a lot better than 300+ thats for sure.

Alright so i got my Sugar Cane Okinawa's and all i have to say is wow. Great denim and great quality. and to top that off since i was and am still a levi's kinda guy, these fit me great. these exceeded my expectations and ended up fitting my legs great. I guess i was just over thinking it when i thought my thighs wouldn't fit hah. Had some bad experiences with some straight cuts so you guy can see where i get some worries from.

Great jean not too slim and not too baggy. Comming with someone that lost 60 lbs (as of today) and still have some thunder thighs, these sure as hell fit great.
you guys wont be disappointed if you like straight fits, but it is true that to each their own. Some may not like the fit if they are used to a more baggy look.
One things for sure, i sure as hell love them. color bleeding wasn't too bad at all and there was less than half an inch of shrinkage.
