just wondering... how do you guys do the first wash?
just throw it in the washer? dry clean?

i threw mine in the washer w/ tooooo much detergent after too short a time span. big mistake.

your best bet is to do a soak. detergents like tide, all, etc., are designed to really get dirt out. they're tough, they get off grime, thats why they're such common household items. unfortunately, when used on raw denim, tide will end up taking all the dye out. if you do a warm soak, the heat of the water will still remove dirt/smells from the jeans, but its gentle, so it wont strip the indigo/dye.

Nudie Slim Jim Dry Japan Indigo. Bought in early October 06

On average, worn around 4 times a week on and off

One Month

Added this sawn off bit of tubing for the snuff tin effect, wasnt too impressive but made the jeans look a bit more unique

Two Months

Around 4 Months wear

Some shots during the 4 Month mark

6 Months. Pre-Wash shots

Rivit missing

After the wash

I was hoping the honeycombs would show up more but the dry japans are pretty soft from the start. Theyve shrank quite a bit, i didnt downsize from the start so waist size was always a bit on an issue, they now fit much better.

I think you should have sized down one or two. Way too lose IMO, freshly washed and still sagging off your ass.

Yeah, so do I, but if they're sagging like that straight after a wash, then you're not gonna have any serious fading/honeycombs is all I'm saying. Whatever though, not telling you what to do or anything.

i see what your saying. ive got a wierd body shape though, a 33.5 waist but slim legs. so even when i wear skinny jeans that feel tight at my waist, they still look slightly loose on the leg.

ive never really toke to fit fit of my slim jims but kept wearing them anyway

thanks for the comments anyway

lol, I usually buy 32 in jeans (so they sag), got 29s for jims. Fairly tight at first, but now they're good, stretched out a lot in a short amount of time. They will stretch out maybe 2 sizes max for perfect sagness.
