nah, for some reason the band itself is bitchier than the rest of the denim. after the soak, buttoning it all the way up was a bit constricting and i didn't want my top button to pop like witts' pair. it rarely happens, but you never know...

gaining dat weight + a little sag = bad

A.P.C NC, about one and a half years. One wash and two soaks or something like that. I'm pretty disappointed with the quality of the fabric in the terms of durability(there are like at least 5 little holes in the crotch area and a few more here and there)..

They are maybe a bit darker in real life.

These are postwash, they were drying...

They've been worn for about 8 months, everyday wear.
I'll post more pics when they're fully dry.

Just out of curiosity, what do ocean washes do that washing machine washes don't?

good stuff up there. there's a lotta hoopla that people will tell you about ocean washing...water properties, salinities, blah blah blah. but imo, all it is is taking a dip in the ocean, rolling around in sand and using the fine particles as an abrasive to get some grainy fading. works well if done correctly. did you just swim in those trance, or did you rub sand on em as well?
