I got a pair of sen selvage on ebay in 29x32 kind of disapointed i couldnt find them in a 34 inseem but 32 does the job. being 6' 32 doesnt stack but the 32 inseem is measured at 33. just check ebay they are also the 505 fit so search that if sen doesnt come up that much

I just received these Edwin jeans today:

and I absolutely LOVE them. Absolute perfect fit for me [Size 28], both in the length and the waist. However, these are the first real set of "high-end" jeans I've purchase [normally spend around $60 on them, tops], so I'm curious to the best way to ash them to minimize fading, as well as shrinkage. I was thinking I'd wear them for a week or so, and then do a cold wash in the washer and let them air dry. Does that sound sufficient enough?

Sorry. I know I'm a "Jean Newbie", I just want to make sure these last [and look great] as long as possible. Thanks for your time, guys!

Wow, 8 months? I knew raw jeans needed to be worn a decent amount of time prior to the first soak/wash [so the fades and such can set in], but I thought the ones I purchased were already washed [and hence, most of the fading/shrinking already done]. But you all are the experts, so I will trust your opinions!

the jeans you purchased are not even raw. they are a washed pair, you can wash them when ever you want.

That's what I thought, I just wanted to be absolutely sure before I washed them [they are my new pride and joy]. I'll definitely wait as long as I can, though, as I don't want the colors to fade much. I have a trip coming up in a week, so maybe I'll wear them off/on until a day before, give them a wash, and have them nice and clean for the travel. ^_^

if you want to avoid fading dont wash them that much, but also make sure you wash them inside out with cold water and a detergent that is made to hold colors.

Yeah, I'll definitely wash it inside-out in cold water, with a good detergent [one specifically made for cold water]. And as little as possible. I mean, if some go months without washing their jeans [seems a bit excessive to me, but I will not question!], surely I can go a few weeks.

I just ordered ED 39's and was thinking weather I should soak them before use or not. I want maximum fades.

It's my second pair of raws, so I'm new to this. My first raw jeans, H&M Sliqs I've been wearing almost daily for few months now with no fades what so ever. I soaked them before use. I've read that Sliqs are a bitch to fade, so I don't know how much of that is due soaking but anyhow..

Should i soak them before use?

On another note does anyone got fit pics of 39's? I sized down 1 and would be dope to see how they actually look on people.

hey, i'm by no means an expert on denim. But I think that you should just wear the jeans before washing. Because the initial soaking will already remove a lot of the indigo. And since you've already sized down there's no need to worry about shrinking it to fit.
