The Official Edwin Denim Thread

sen skinny true to size would get you that look.

o and the cinch im pretty sure is some kind of belt device. most denim enthusiast like it for the classic "work wear" look
Jul 16, 2009 @ 22:02
ah ok thx. i wasnt sure becuz on the pic i saw from caliroots the hips looked extremely roomy(well for me at least) and that kinda scared me.

and to get my true size, i would need to buy one one of those..uhmm body rulers(sorry im not english, i forgot the wordsmh) right? or can i simply get it at a shop like levi's?
Jul 16, 2009 @ 23:03
dont get true to me...size down at least 1-2 on the sens.....
Jul 17, 2009 @ 18:00
i know but to size down i would need to know my true size.

so i repeat my question, can i get my true size at a denim shop like levis?
Jul 18, 2009 @ 09:26
just get a tape measure and wrap it around the part of ur waist the jeans hang at, tht'll b ur true size. tryin to find ur true size by tryin on different brands of jeans is pointless, cuz each brand has their own sizing
Jul 18, 2009 @ 10:04
think im gonna try to break my sens in finally, tight ass shits lol

yo I'm currently in Taiwan right now and I'm seeing Edwin everywhere but it seems kind of sketch to me.

This is their site:

Is this the same Edwin brand or is it a "fake but not fake" type brand?
Jul 22, 2009 @ 08:47
Website seems pretty legit. Instagram: @iiseSEOUL Search "iise" on Facebook and like the page to support!

Jul 22, 2009 @ 10:19
yea I was thinking that too but in Taiwan there's a lot of "fake but not fake" brands.
For example some stores sell Base Control but when I asked the store worker if it was fake or not he said that its not actual Base Control but it's not fake either because its a "completely different brand" that is called "Base Control" if that makes any sense. I feel skeptical because they sell these "brands" at Department stores which carry Edwin.
I also looked at the new Edwin look book and the style is noticeably different from the Edwin sold in Taiwan. Or Maybe I'm just trippin.
ahha sorry for my rant.
Jul 28, 2009 @ 23:20
well, they use the same logo. site looks legit too.

sorry cant help u more.

Hi, i'm new in world of denim, i just buy a pair of EDWIN - SEN SELVAGE SKINNY and i don't know How i have to wear them the first time.

I read all the sticky post and of course the "Denim Care Thread" but i don't understand it very well (i'm from spain and my english is so bad)

Can you give me patterns about his care and his first use

Thanks a lot
Aug 05, 2009 @ 17:10
^well u start off by puttin one leg in first then the other and then u take care of the fly and then ur good..... jk

Just wear them like you normally would theres no special way to wear raw denim. If ur goin for fades keep them out of heavy rain and dont wear them in extreme heat so u dont stank them up. Basically u want to wear them for as long as u can before u have to wash them or soak them, and NEVER MACHINE DRY.
Aug 07, 2009 @ 17:54
ok, thanks a lot!

only one question

dont wear them in extreme heat so u dont stank them up.

i don't understand this
Aug 07, 2009 @ 19:15
i don't understand this

well, when it is hot, and jeans are slim fitting, creates friction, body heat and body sweat, ass sweat and body sweat is smelly. so if happens a lot, absorbs into denim.

machine wash inside out when you do to reduce indigo loss. hang dry when you do.

anyone wanna trade nashvilles or rainbows for sens?
Aug 08, 2009 @ 19:27
I'm normally into my Levis, but have been drawn to the Hype that Edwins have been making. I like a loose fit with a slightly tapered leg. Does this sound like a model Edwin do??

my friend is naturally a size 31/32 so what size should he get?
Aug 31, 2009 @ 18:03
So i've decided on getting a pair of ''edwin ed35 loose rainbow selvage'' Just need some sizing advise. I'm a 32/32 in Levis should i stay the same in this Edwin model or size down to what?

Also does anyone know any decent suppliers in Melbourne or is it gonna have to be the net?

removed? i just measured my waist it's at 34" so i should get 33"?
Oct 02, 2009 @ 13:14
I usually wear 33/32 (501, Average Joe). Is it true that I have to size down if I want to buy a ED47?
Oct 08, 2009 @ 16:53
ya their semi-vanity sized in my experience. i sized down one and liked the fit.
Oct 11, 2009 @ 18:59
I usually get 32 length, but the 34 is the only one available. Should it be a problem? Could I just have it shortened like any other pants?
Oct 11, 2009 @ 19:07
wered you find a 34" inseam everywere i looked theres only 32's?
Oct 11, 2009 @ 19:21

Oct 27, 2009 @ 13:26 replies since dec 08, but hopefully someone picks up on this...

i was tryna get a pair of the edwin sen skinny's, im kinda confused on whether they are raw or not, i get the feeling they're one-washed but there are quite a few sites that label it raw, dry denim

can someone clarify this for me? if they're one-washed, will they still fade well or would have most of the indigo been washed out already?

thanks in advance....
