Since we've been getting tons of small, insignificant questions that don't need their own threads, here is a thread where they can all go.

RULES:

1) DO NOT SHIT UP THIS THREAD. Unnecessary, stupid replies will be deleted. Offenders may be temp banned depending on my mood.

2) DON'T POST UNLESS YOU ARE ASKING A QUESTION OR ANSWERING ONE!

3) DO NOT BE A JERK OR AN ASS OR BE SNIDE OR SARCASTIC! This thread is for all those dumb little questions that don't need their own threads, so don't come in here if you don't want to read them!

4) This is for small/dumb/personal questions. IE: "What should I buy next? What is starch? How do I shrink my jeans? What is STF? What is sanforization? What is my waist size? What inseam do I get? What is hemming?" etc. etc. etc.

Gap Jeans ID

Hey, saw these on ebay but the listing doesn't tell me the name of the jeans... If anyone knows the name of these jeans and if it's a standard leg opening (not looking for boot cut) that'd be greatly appreciated.

Also, how do gap jeans tend to fit? I tend to size down a pair when buying raw, selvedge but I dont know if these are prewashed so I dont know if i should size down an inch on the waist or not. And yes, I know, it's gap so I'm not expecting $200 denim quality.

Thx

sanforization is a process that minimizes shrinkage of raw denim thru compressing the denim fabric before it is sewn. most non japanese denim is sanforized, except levis STF

Perhaps an FAQ in the first post would be useful? (eg. what is raw, what is selvage, etc.)

think cheeps right on the dkny spotting, that diagonal swirly line is their standard back pocket print thing. DKNY is at most any dept. store (macys, etc) or at spots like TJ Maxx if u want shit 4 cheap.

(btw, cheep, good lookin out on those gap selvedge joints, they were on sale at my local gap and for cheaper than expected, i got mine for $12.97, boo ya, thx dude)

decisions decisions
kinda faced with a tough one

i fell in love with my New Standards from the first time i tried them on and shrugged away the gay guy at the A.P.C. store who tried to adjest them while i was wearing them but alas nearing 5 months of wear im begining to realize soon they will be simply a weekend jean so here is my dilemma. should i purchase another pair of NS a little smaller so the fit is a bit slimmer or should i go with a different brand or model. Selvedge doesnt matter to me just that theyre raw. i was looking at thin finns, slim jims, cure, Grifters or rakers. now i understand that rakers are Whall's skinny jean but i want the fitting to be somewhat like this:

thank you Denim God's i leave sheep's blood as a sacrifice

rakers are not made anymore... so those are out. id stay away from nudie because there is much better for the price... that leaves cures and grifters. cures are tapered, and should give you a fit like that or maybe a bit tighter. grifters are straight from the knee down.... but nice and slim.

id go with grifters honestly... the quality is so much better than apc and not too much more expensive. you can also go for dior, but those are expensive.

ok cool selvedge doesnt really matter to mei havent seen a case where it effects fading or anything so its pretty much just a red/white stripe on the pants

Cheap Mondays
Thinking about picking up 2 pairs of CM's and wanted to know the quality of them,do they fade easily?Length wise, what would be a good length for me I'm 5'7...I usually wear a 32 in length but I've seen other people with them on and they have to make humongous cuffs in them...should I just get them hemmed? In the BKC the chick was showing me a 32 and they seemed a bit too long...and I'm not used to making cuffs that are un proportional to my sneaker...

Sneakernerd Gap Selvedge,is that pretty expensive?I know it's less than A.P.C but still up there in the costly range...and how do you know if the denim i raw?

Bless.

I'm guessing you're looking for raw black jeans.
Samurai- but they're pretty close to 300
Dunderdon- Actually pretty nice. They're very similar to Dior in my opinion.
I'm pretty sure Cheap Monday makes them, and so does APC, or at least they did.

I bought some gap selvedge(regular fit, not slim) for like 30 bucks. You can usually find that on the clearance section at gap.

Situation and Question -
Bought some gap morrisons(slim straight fit)
sized down one because i couldn't fit in the buttons with another size lower.
should i soak it, or wash it first to shrink it a little? They're kinda baggy.
thanks in advance, need advice before i fuck up on my own.
