Small DENIM Questions Thread

I'm looking for a new pair of denim.
After looking for some denim, I'm thinking about getting a pair of APC's (the new standards) or a pair of nudies (I don’t remember the model, but I tried a pair of black/grey raw denim w/ tapered leg). I saw some pics of the Slim Jims and I like the fit.

I’m 5"6' and 127 lbs. I'm looking for something slimmer than the 501s (I’m actually wearing a pair of 501 raw selvedge and I'm getting tired of those) with tapered leg and NOT skinny.
I don't mind if they aren’t selvedge (but it's a plus)
I'm thinking about spending 150-200$ for a pair.

Is there any other good brands that make nice raw denim under 200$?
I saw some acne jeans but I don’t like them (not really rigid)

^^uniqlo is fairly cheap but i think theyre getting pricier..still highest priced ive seen is only around $80

hey whaddup. do u need to size down on Dior? also, can anyone point me to where i can get some APC in nyc for a decent price? how much should i size down? just buy ones that are skin tight and rock those?

The site recommends you to stay true to size on Slim Jims... is that sufficient to maintain that "fit" look or should I size down one?

aside from dior, wat else has 19cm opening cuz i cant fuck with these 501's nemore. too big on the bottom and i need to show off the tongues on my fives. dior might be too pricey for me. im looking for something in the apc, eternal or evisu or even samurai run. good looks

i have some nudie grim tims in dry dirt organic. they came with a little patch of extra denim on the inside of the back left pocket. i removed it. i'm wondering what the fuck this is for and if i should've removed it or not.

How much do raw Dior's tend to shrink/stretch in the waist? Not sure if I should buy true to waist size or size down...

Oh, and is there any significance between Italian manufactured Dior and Japanese manufactured Dior?

it all depends on your waist size... and what other thing youre looking for besides showing off the tongue of your 5s.

apc- my favorite is the old cure at your true waist... let it sag a bit.
samurai- the 710 is the slimmest, i think the 0500xx is close. i wear the 0500xx
eternal-811 is the slim one. i tried on a 32(i normally wear 30) and they were very slim.
evisu- look for the wrangler repros from the heritage line. sized true they should be very slim. i wear mine up 2.

I have been debating this purchase for a while , nudies vs. apc. I am currently leaning toward the apc's because of the nudies crotch rips.

so i just washed my jeans yesterday for the firsttime.. and i wore them today, and skated in them. I fell and my ass landed right in a wet muddy spot. I'm pissed because i just washed them. You can't really see any mud on them.. but they kinda smell like it. What should i do? wash them again? I don't want them to fade so fast.

If the smell is pretty bad you could soak them, or wash them, depends on the jeans with indigo loss.

SIZE HELP

Alright, so I have a natural 29" waist but a size 29 in Levi's is just a tad too loose so what are some other brands you guys would recommend? I'm looking at a few pairs of Cheap Monday, because some of their sizes go down to 27, but according to Caliroots the waist is actually 29 or 30 inches. Any help?

hey CHEEP, i was thinking that before i go out and spend a couple hundred bills on some denim if u could tel me where u copped those Evisu's u wre wearing two weeks back? they looked good and not cheap like the evisu's we see stateside. thanks my dyde.

i met the marketing director when i was in ny and he told me he had some samples he would give me... sent them and some tees too.

supposedly they are in shops now... they are the slim fit wrangler reproductions. i guess you can go to evisu.com and check the store list and call around to find them... thats the best i can do. im not sure about online.

i think the retail is 275.

i've been wearing my nudie grim tims dry black for a while and I am just wondering when's the right time to give them a soak..cuz i heard black jeans takes more time to fade, and how much would they shrink? Do they stretch back?
