I bought a pair of levi 501xx stf, soaked them for 30 mins then air dried them but they did not shrink as much as I wanted them to. If I soak them again, will they actually shrink any more or will it just lose it's starch/stiffness? They were soaked yesterday, only finished drying a few hours back.

501xx STF shrinks a lot, so 30minutes wasn't probably enough, if you were to do another hot soak it would shrink, but yes lose more starch & indigo if you are fine with that.

Anyone know of any black or grey raw denim that fit similarly to APC NS? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the fit on my indigo new standards but I wanna try some other brands and colors. And while I'm here, if anyones got some info on those grey APC NS lemme know whats up I haven't seen these shits anywhere.

since summer is nearing, unless ur running in ur jeans and gettin them sweated up, you should jsut give them a nice soak in some detergent and then rinse with clean water, then you can either wear them them while they r wet to hold in ur creases or u can hang dry them inside out in the to kill off any leftover smells in ur jeans

So I'm pretty short/light (5'4" and 120 lbs) and my waist is around 28.5-29.5 inches. I currently own a pair of APC New Standards, waist 27. I really don't dig the tapering at the calves and would've preferred more of a straight leg. I think the tapering and slimness of the NS's just accentuate my shortness too much.

Would it be logical for me to purchase these F310's in the marketplace? hypebeast.com/forum/showthread.php?t=103186

The waist is 30 (realistically, 31) and the inseam is hemmed to 31 inches. My APC's 34 inseam produces crazy stacks and huge knee bobs, so the hemmed 31 inseam appeals to my height.

My only concern would be the waist...

What would Kiya say? smile

How much does raw black denim fade? Can you achieve similar fading/contrast to that of raw indigo denim? And to get that fading/contrast, should you treat them the same as indigo denim (like soaks/washes etc.)??

I'm thinking of taking the arches out of my 1947s. Once I take them out I know there'll be an imprint of where they used to be. Those will go away after some wear won't they?

I'm thinking about getting my 2 month old Skulls hemmed from a 37.5 to a 34, think I need to soak/wash them first or should I just take them in the way they are?

I would hem without soak, when washed/soaked you wouldn't lose much length.

I'm going to do a soak on my maiden noir denim tonight (worn for just over a year no wash's soaks or anything) has anyone had experience with this denim before? It's the black denim if it will make a difference after this long.
