i dont get why some people can't just ignore a "post". i mean since it's annoying just ignore it instead of quoting it with useless dots.

If its ignored your post will show up again and become even more of a nuisance. And majority of simple questions and be found by just lurking around. Cheerz

I have a pair of size 38 raw, baggy evisus that I haven't worn much but have been washed twice. I have lost much weight since their purchase and I now wear a size 34. Anybody know if I can shrink them?

I don't think there's a way you can shrink a size 38 to a 34.

Damn. Can a tailor do anything to them to make them less baggy? I paid full price for em so I'm kinda pissed. I saoked them today and I'm gonna see if that shrinks them some.

its nearly impossible to tailor the waist size, whats posibble is making the leg tighter or the inseam shorter.

Nope, maybe just a bit but nothing big. Your jeans may feel a bit softer though if it matters.

If i taper even though my stacks and honeycombs already set in, will it fuck them up?

it will probably change a little bit. i soaked the leg openings on my jeans and when they shrunk the stacking fell differently, the best thing you can do is taper em, and if the stacking isn't to your liking, soak just the bottom legs/leg opening and start over. the honey combs shouldn't be a problem since nondrastic tapering is just around the shin and leg opening area.

I found these 511 seasonal slim on the levis british website
shop.eu.levi.com/GuysCollectionsLevisRedTabJeans/185110020/-511-Se---
It comes at 14oz (which is the same weight as most LVC's) and the color looks like its a one wash to me.
From the description its seems that there is something special about this jeans but I can't find any info on them on the web. Does anyone know anything about these jeans?

^^ they're 511s but with extra features, like the change in weight you mentioned, it also has a huge "X" rivet on the coin pocket and it has a cinch back just like the Lee 101 1937, lvc 501xx 1937, lvc 501xx 1933, and warehouse cinch. the pockets are also bigger and further down the pant leg. i don't think its one wash.

My shop carries denim from Akompice and RobnSteel, those brand names haven't been established in the South Lake Tahoe area yet, so people don't know exactly what they are looking at. It's a very high fashion evening denim. What are your thoughts on those brands and are you familiar with their apparel line?

So I need som new jeans. Problem is I dont really have to much knowledge about denim, and my legs are kind of odd.
i got a 35-36 wais with kind of big thighs and a 30-32 inseam.

i like my jeans a bit relaxed, with kind of narrow leg opening (i dont like to walk on my jeans).

does any of you denimheads have any suggestions to what kind of jeans I should buy?

levis
warehouse
nudies
apc rescues
samurai s0510xx
imperial

whats your price range?

i want a pair of good quality jeans, maybe up to 250 dollars.

the quality and fit is more important than price smile

Evisu Japan #2000 - $240
Studio D'Artisan SD-101 - $245
Sugarcane - $245
APC Rescues - $155
Imperial Duke/King - $265

all are pretty good quality and relaxed

hello denim experts i just wanted to ask what are the top 3 qualities of denim that make you want to buy them? (i.e. color, brand, quality, type of fit, price etc. etc. )

...Look around and read, and use your own judgment to see what you believe is the best. The question you ask is just something out of curiosity, answering it would be a waste of time because there are too many brands to be just top 3.

Judging by number of posts and thread views in the Denim forum, the top 3 brands that people like to talk about are (not saying they're the best or have the best quality/color/type of fit/price, etc):

1) APC
2) Levi's
3) Samurais (has more posts)/ Nudies (has more views)

At the moment I'm only fukin with levis 501s since I'm a bigger guy and I like the room in the thighs but I really hate the big leg opening, covers my kicks too much and tends to drag a lot (this is only with a 32 length). I'm looking for a slim look (NOT SKINNY lol). so im just asking if you guys know any other brands or cuts that have plenty of thigh room but have a smaller taper. I've been looking at APC NS but not sure if thats the best choice though the price is attractive.

yo so i got my APC's new standard in size 33 tag size. i have a feeling these will stretch out a little too big . i think i should have gotten them in a size 32 tag size. my true waist is 36 comfortable.

if i hot soak it will it shrink enough so it does stretch out as much when i wear than me not hot soaking it?

or it doesnt matter, and i should post them up on market thread? lol

also im thinking of getting Nudie's new cut, Big Bengt. any opinions on those?

thanks in advance!
