Rain will likely make your raw denim bleed on your shoes.. other than that it will just make them wet. I've worn raw denim in the rain before.. but I was just trying to get somewhere and didn't "kick it" in the rain.

If you put your raw denim in the dryer.. they get dry. If you put softener in.. they will be soft. If the heat is high.. they might shrink a little.. If the heat is low, they will take longer to dry. I hang dry my denim because I hang dry all my clothes except whites.

here is a step by step

1- buy some raw jeans. one wash is ok too
2- if raw, soak in hot water for a couple hours, and hang to dry. if one wash, wear them.
3- wear the jeans until they are dirty
4- wash them in a washing machine or by hand. hang or machine dry
5-repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have to buy new jeans.

you do this and you will have jeans!

Stretching.
Just got my Skull Jeans 5010XX One-Wash size 27 from Blue in Green. They are skin tight and not comfortable. Any ideas how I could stretch them to maybe a 28? or 29? sad

I've worn them for 2 weeks straight, and they never stretched. I also unbuttoned all 4.

My jeans size is usually 29/30x32.

For Levi's 501xxSTF, I hear they shrink 3" on the inseam? They don't make 35 length though... so would it be better if i got 30x34 or 30x36? I want average stacking, but not crazy...

You can always get denim altered shorter.. If you get a 34 length and you later think it's too short.. you're S.O.L.

And I looked online and they said washing them with a little bit of bleach will fade them? That sounds like it'll ruin my jeans though...


One wash is basically a pair of jeans which has been given one wash by the manufacturer.

Also, I wouldn't advise washing your jeans with bleach lol, just wear them!

How much is the cost for tailoring? (on an average)
My new jeans are kind of baggy, and i havent washed them yet, wondering if i should get them tailored (either cut it a little shorter or make them narrower)

Tailoring should cost around $10, maybe a bit lower or higher depending on what you're looking to do (hem, taper, or w/e).

Anyways, I've got a question of my own too. I have a pair of jeans which are too small for me, and I'm looking to make them bigger. How would I go about doing this? Is it actually possible to make the waist a couple inches wider?

cheep homie i bought a pair of black cheap mondays but am afraid to wear em cause i dont want them bleeding on my beloved jordan collection. ive never done a 'soak' before, but do i need to do one? and what does it entail?

homeboy that owns the denim store whos also into streetwear just to put them in a 'rinse' cycle in my washer and it'll do the same thing so they dont bleed on my shoes. lemme know! thanks.


p.s. and i dont want them to stretch!!
