Two questions:
- Does going back and forth between one small cuff and several cuffs affect the fades on my denim's stacks?
- Should the cuffs be fondled with (my ankles are abnormally thin), or should it just be allowed to 'settle' by itself?

I've asked these two questions in two different threads but never got any response. Hope you guys can help!

answer to your first questions. Its not significant enough for you to give a fuck lol.

Spray some water on the stacks and adjust them accordingly, after which just allow them to settle naturally. Water helps speed up the process.

Im looking to get a pair of nice denim......not really trying to spend more than $200......I wear a size 32 in most everything I like the waist to be a little baggy and the legs slimer any suggestions of brands and stuff would be dope..

Im interested in APCs but ive been reading everyone say they stretch and to get smaller sizes but I would be mad uncomfortable if I couldnt button my jeans all the way up and shit....so help me out

I've been wearing my SEXI14's hard lately and I feel it's time to add another pair to rotate.

^ yes, and they will shrink even more if you put them in the dryer.

Do jeans shrink lengthwise? If they do, how do I prevent this from happening?

If they are unsanforized, they have the potential to shrink quite a bit (2-3 inches).
For regular sanforized denim, maybe 1/2 in max.

If you air dry, they'll shrink slightly. Machine dry will end up with more shrinkage, but can have some unwanted fading.

How much did you want to shrink them? Don't expect them to shrink much at all.
Buy your correct size.

Yes, take it to a tailor. They'll either sew in some darts, or take the butt seam apart, and sew that in.
Ideally, get a different size. Sell or trade your pair.

Edit: Can't you just wear a belt?

All jeans have a limit to how much they shrink.
I mean, you don't wash a tshirt 10 times, and it turn out like toddlers tshirt right?

Washing your jeans will shrink them, but it wont stay that way. So if you don't like the fit you need to size down if its too big or get different jeans.

Jeans or clothing don't keep on shrinking. If you wash in a machine and machine dry that's about as small as it's going to get. Un-sanforized denim may shrink more with a few washes.

I'm sure you've washed other clothes and they didn't just keep shrinking right? Kinda like what Slap said

Read that somewhere that sanforized or un-sanforized jeans continue to shrink till the 3rd wash or something

Currently working on a pair of Unbranded Tapers. Planning to do an ocean wash this spring break. I was just wondering, if I feel the jeans are starting to get too soft, would going into my gym's steam room bring back stiffness?

Is there anything I can do to make my jeans like raw again. My brother gave me 3 pairs of A.P.C jeans but they look kinda whack on me. I think it's because my mom threw them in the wash like 3 times without asking me making them kinda flimsy. I'd really rather they don't just go to waste so someone give me some ideas please.

Theres no way of making jeans "stiffer" without starching them (tutorials all over Google).
You can soak them, or wear them into a steam room, which would stiffen them after drying.
But it'll get soft in less than an hour of wear.

i would just sell them on ebay for cheap, and buy a new pair.

Thanks man. I think I will try and starch a pair and if that doesnt work just sell them. Do you think the fact that they're a 34 waist and im a 30 could be making them look weird? I mean i did get them tapered at the tailor but maybe i should take them back and get a few more adjustments made

4 sizes big? Come of dude, of course it's going to look off. Quit wasting money on trying to get them tailored and just sell them.

If you insist on keeping them, you'll either have to wear them super baggy like those ghetto kids, or get them fully tailored, and not just tapered. If they've been washed, it means they probably faded, and getting them tailored (waist, butt, entire legs) would messed up the fades.
