Pretty straight forward:

I'm unsure which pair I should get after my nudie grim tims (they were great for the start but now I'm looking for something "better")

Pure Blue Japan or Naked & Famous.

It seems that PBJ has the better denim but I, somehow, are also into the whole N&F thing.
give me your opinion please ;)

PBJ makes a better jean but will cost more too. If it is within your price range, I would personally go with PBJ.

Is there anyway to make sure that the crotch (not really the crotch, but the part of the jeans where everything comes together) not rip / tear?
I'm pretty sure it's the way I wear them, but I don't know what the problem is. It has happened to my sams, red ears and vintage levis. I didn't sag on my sams or the levis but my red ears do sag because they're overly large ( or I have too much stuff in my pockets).

Does anybody have fit pictures of sz 28 tapered jeans with 10.5 thigh measurements? I want to get tapered 3sixteens, but I don't know if the thigh is too big or not

So I'm planning to buy APCs Petit Standards, my question is this:

I heard they stretch around two sizes, and I usually wear 33-34, am I good buying 31, or should I stay with the 33? My size really depends on the jeans, how's it gonna look like if I stay TTS?

I'm a true 27-28. PS in size 26 fits perfect (couldnt do the top button at first). i originally had it in 25 and it was WAY too small (couldnt do any buttons). 32 should be perfect for you. I think 33 will end up being too loose for you. I mean, you ARE going for a fitted jean, right? that's why you're considered the PS in the first place?

Iron them out then lean back every time you sit down, and don't sag your pants.

Ok, so I'm searching for some new jeans. I've had my apc ns for about 2 years, and I've gained about 20lbs since I enlisted. Feels good man. I've been wanting something a lil bit more loose, something along the lines of 511s. Butttt obviously cool guy raw denim.
Or could I just get ns again and just size down one instead of 3? I'm down for another brand too. As along as its under 250... Thanks.

NS is always good. Sizing down 2 is enough on those. Instead of not sizing down on NS, maybe you want some APC rescues.

Xpost from NF Denim thread.

Just bought a pair of WG and love em. then fit snug so im hoping theyll stretch a bit with wear, and at that point, theyll be be perfect.

but anyways…the indigo is already starting to rub off on my white shirt, hands, etc. i dont mind it much but im worried about my shoes. is there anything i can do specifically just to the leg opening to help? i dont wanna put tape inside it or anything. i hot soaked a pair of levis just at the leg opening one time, and the part that was in water changed color, so i dont wanna do that again. any suggestions?

Fuck. What kind of denim would you recommend that is better than APCs that go down to a 25 waist?

Stacks, particularly chino's:

Is there a particular way one would store it when not wearing to obtain stacks? or is it all simply height?

itll happen with wear. and yeah, assuming the inseam is 34, theyll stack more than a 30 in inseam. and itll depend on your height as well.

You guys probably get this question all the time, but I'm 180 lbs and 5'9-- pretty bulky, not so much fat. Want to get a pair of nudies, and I usually wear slim jeans so I'm about a 32-32 in 514 levis...any idea which fit I should get and if I should adjust the measurements? I sort of think I can fit into slim jims, but my thighs are sort of big (because I fence), any suggestions? blushing

i have some 3sixteens going my way and they need to be hemmed, so i have a few questions

1. should i go to a real tailor or would the laundry place that does alterations fine? the closest tailor that i know right now is at LA which is denim doctor, thats like an hour drive
2. what do i ask the tailor? my friend said chainstitch them, clueless to what that is
3. whats the average price for a hem?

They're pretty generic fashion denims. Washes are usually sub-par and the cotton quality leaves much to be desired.

1. Depends on what specifically you want and #2
2. Tell him to hem them, a chainstitch is just a vintage element like hidden rivets and a selvedge trim coin pocket, only necessary if you're a stickler for tiny details.
3. You can do it yourself with a $3 sewing kit but a simple alteration like that should be no more than $10.

Can anyone comment on these jeans? Are they worth it?
They're Big John Rigid Selvedge Jeans - Blue (There's probably a wash name for them but barney's is usually missing key details.)
http://www.barneys.com/Rigid-Selvedge-Jeans/501373506,default,pd.html?cgid=DENIM04-1

"Rigid selvedge 5-pocket straight leg jean. 9" rise. 34" inseam. 16" leg opening. Available in Blue. 15.5 oz. denim. Cotton. Machine wash warm. Imported. "

How would I size?

Are the Skull 5010's still ass? Because I heard they changed something about the denim that made them shitty. Shopping around for new jeans and trying to figure out what I want. Thanks. Also, what model PBJ would fit most like Samurai 710's?

quick question... just got some N&F broken twill as a christmas present and should i pre soak first and then hem and taper? or get them altered then do a presoak?

"leather jackets and bape shark hoodies, its a struggle but we make it work"

nah don't pre soak you don't need to, what cut did you get? IMO, if they need to get tapered right off the bat you should have gotten a different cut, i understand its a christmas present doe
if you want to alter em i'm not sure how it goes either you soak to get the shrinkage out then hem or hem and then soak
presoakin it gets rid of that initial starch and it'll be harder to form creases afterwards
