If I were you I'd cut 2 inches off. Better to have a little extra than lack it.

@TALIBAN - depends what you want man, if you want a nice repair where the denim sits naturally and is repaired really strongly and you think you have a lot more life left in your APC's then the 40 bucks for a good repair is definitely worth it. If you think you're probably going to move onto a new pair soon, or aren't to worried about how well your jeans are patched, then any tailor should work no problem.

yeah man, I'm buying a pair of Sams very very soon. But I feel like I'm gna wear my APCs every now and then. I'll probably go get the $40 repair so I feel safe and I won't have to keep going back to the tailors. I can see myself wearing these for a very long time.

Thanks.

Glad I could help. Let us know when you pick up those sams and post some pics!

Honest opinions. APC or 3 Sixteen? Petite standards/ST-100x. I'm on my second pair of denim and want to get something of better quality.

In my opinion, you can NEVER go wrong with APCs.

Honestly, I'd say that 3sixteen is way more worth it if you're looking for good quality. 3sixteen is us made with really nice japanese denim, where as apc is manufactured in China, with non japanese selvedge. You can't go wrong with either, but if you want something that is better quality, I'd definitely go with 3sixteen.

I think it will depend in part on how stiff the denim is. If the denim is stiff, you should be able to get honeycombs just fine on 8-10 oz. denim. If not, the honeycombs won't come out as well, but you can still starch the back of the knees to get more contrast on the fades there.

I'd say soak just the bottom and reset the stacks, I've done it before and it works perfectly fine.

I've never tried ironing them, but soaking the part that you want to reset works really well.

It seems to have been down since yesterday. Not sure what is the issue though. Maybe they are updating?

Thinking about starching my APC's. What brands do you guys recommend that don't smell like ass? And do you have to iron them after spraying?

if you chop off exactly 2 inches the end result will be shorter than 30" as the the denim has to be folded and stitch together again.
just ask for a 30" inseam after hemming...

I need help with my APC sizing. I’m a true waist size 35-36″ but closer to 35″. However, I usually fit a size 36 waist best. I bought some APC NS in a 33 a while ago and did not like the fit. They were too baggy and after stretching the waist was a little too big. I also didnt like the leg opening, it wasn’t tapered enough for my taste.

I decided I wanted a skinner fit with a tapered leg so I went with the Petit Standard. I couldn’t decide between a 32″ or 33″. I chose the 32″ APC Petit Standard. I can barely button them, like it takes a lot of effort to get the top button buttoned up. When I tried the 33″ it was also a struggle but much easier to get them all the way buttoned up.

So, in the 32″ PS I bought, the thigh area is skin tight. I have somewhat bigger thighs and the thighs on the 32″ PS are skin tight. Is the thigh area going to stretch a lot too, like the waist? I sized down 3 (true 35, bought 32) but I dont know if I should return them for a 33 instead. So, how much is the waist going to stretch? How much is the thigh area going to stretch? I want a little room in the thigh area rather than it being skin tight. From what I’m reading, sizing down 2 on the PS is the best bet. I sized down 3 and them joints are tight as FAUK!

Thanks in advance. Please give me your advice and input.

The thighs probably won't stretch much. If they're tight now, they'll always be tight. I would size up to a 33 in the PS, or maybe consider the NS in a 32, considering how much the 33 NS stretched out for you.

no doubt 3sixteen. The quality of the denim is pretty different man, 3sixteen beats apc in every way i feel except maybe the cuts. Apc has a lot more choice with the fits, especially the way you can size differently. But quality wise and fading properties I say go with 3sixteen, you won't be disappointed man.

I agree, I like APC's cuts better, APC has some of the best cuts in the world, but the construction quality and denim is better on the 3sixteens.
