kind of a weird question...but i just got my jeans hemmed...and i was wondering if anyone has ever tried to use the excess material and make something dope out of it? any ideas?

EDIT:

kinda random...but why does every put their belt underneath their leather patch? just curious.


Iv see people make mini card holder from it, idk if you have a sewing machine or really have a lot of excess you can make random shit with it.

As for the belt thing.. Idk. personal preference or some hipsters trending so they can show off their leather patch and be a cool kid, i dont do it because my sammie's patch is sewn all around and cant loop under.

^what i did on mine, was just fill up a bucket (garbage can or something...or even just the tub) with hot water. i boiled it and just poured it in. and then i just put the last few inches into it. soak for about 45-60 minutes. and then let it dry.

I got a stain from my dog's muddy feet on my thigh.
Do you think have to get it out (don't wanna scratch off any indigo though) or can I wait some days of wearing and it will dry and fall off?

Yo guys. Don't know much about Denim so I came here. But through these weird circumstances I'm getting a free pair of jeans from this douchy jean place. I didnt see any brands I'm really into, but then again I'm not too into denim. I was wondering if any of these brands are actually worth buying. Otherwise I'll probably just get an expensive pair and re-sell on ebay. Thanks for the help.

I kept a pair of my Gap Selvedge jeans creased at the bottom... and I want to get rid of that cuff because whenever I
try to cuff it in a different place it goes back to the original spot... is ironing it safe?

sup guys, i recently bought these jeans,
i was real happy with the fit for a week kinda but now i feel like i want the lower leg to be a tad skinnier.
i dont really want to have to give em to a taylor to hem them, so im wondering wether hot soaking would shrink them a bit. wouldnt be a problem to have em overall shrink a bit as ive got a 32 instead of my normal 31 so theres enough room for shrinkage anyway.

PS: nudies forums say soaking ( they only talk cold soaks to clean tho) wont really affect the shine of the coated shit, but even if it would dgaf as i got some fabric wax and fit > shinyshit anyways imo.

please lmk wether soaking would shrink em a bit

forreal? i just skimmed over some stuff on sufu and they're saying that mostly pre shrunk/pre washed denim will stretch back out and from what the nudie website says these are apparently unwashed :/ hmn cotdamn if only the lower leg was a tad more narrow q.q

I've been wearing a size 30 in NF weird guy indigo for about two weeks and they have stretched to fit well (not sure if they're done stretching or not). Would a size 30 in APC new standard be the correct size? I don't think I could take a crotch any tighter than what I have now. Also a size 32 in levi 514 have stretched to sag just a little more than I like.

Just recently bought my first pair of nudies and the fit so far is perfect. However, at first, the whiskers were super defined and held, but after about two weeks they don't seem to be holding too much anymore. Obviously the jeans are softening up with everyday wear, but is this normal? Also, haven't soaked these yet and try are stretching quite a bit, gonna try to hold out til the end of the month.

Can I get some help with denim stretching? I wanna stretch the size of the waist and the crotch area. I heard that you can wet the area you wanna stretch then wear it for a while. Can someone give me a good guide on how to.

yea mine are raw, regular indigo color. perhaps soaking them would remove some of the dye but i don't think that would be enough to keep from staining your stuff. my wallet and belt are dark brown so it isn't very noticeable.

I also have a pair of white sneakers that got stained blue from a pair of levi 514s and those weren't raw.

Okay, so I have some orange selvedge Nudie’s, been wearing them about 3-4 times per week since Christmas, they are a little loose around the knees so I want them a bit slimmer; will washing them soon achieve this, or will they only shrink 3-5%? I want honeycombs but a nice deep indigo colour and a slimmer fit, can anyone help please? Never been soaked or washed, will soaking help for what I want? 1st pair of raws.

I've been wearing my NF weird guys (Left Hand Twill) for a week or so and the buttons are a lot easier to do now but how the hell do you guys who wear these take a piss without undoing the every damn button and your belt? For one the buttons are tough to open/close but that's typical (I'm hoping they get easier with time) and the rise is so short my damn fingers cant get in there to whip it out. i love these pants but this is really annoying hahaa.
