It feels like its gonna take me years to get any fades on my N&F Skinny Guy Broken Twill, I wear them as much as I can... What can I do to speed up the process at least a little?! Does exercising in them, in the gym help?

As stated in my sig I'm on the market to buy new denim... I'm going for a thicker slubbier denim this time compared to my lightweight APC PS, but I want to keep the same fit..

Which brands out there on the higher end are better? IH/FH/PBJ/Samurai,etc

and what fit?

Anything that requires you to move around in them helps. Obviously themore you do the faster they'llfade. Just be committed and wear them any chanceyou get and it'll start fading in no time

If you want slubby, the brands to really look at are Oni, PBJ, Strike Gold, Samurai, and, to a lesser extent, Eternal. Iron Heart and Flat Head are great brands, but I don't find FH denim to be particularly slubby, and I don't find IH denim to be slubby at all.

Of the slubby brands that I named, Oni and Eternal don't have a widely available slim tapered fit at all that I know of, but you could look at the PBJ XX-011, Strike Gold 1109, or Samurai 710 models for that type of fit.

I'm pretty sure that the XX-013 is a BiG exclusive, so unless you find it secondhand somewhere, you'll probably have to pay full price for it there.

Also, AFAIK, BiG is the only North American retailer for PBJ, so unless you are willing to look overseas, that's pretty much your only option.

Im kinda new to the raw denim thing. I bought a pair of raw selvedge denim they fit more like slim-straight fit rather than a Skinny fit which i like. Is there a way i can achieve the skinny fit without any fading to washes or whatever? I just need it around my calves.

Got a gray (noir) pair of APC's, size 30. Not worn more than 5 times. I had my tailor cut off 2" on the inseam. How much do you guys think I can get for this? I want to purchase a pair of black RRL's and want to sell these off first before buying anymore pairs of jeans. Was thinking at LEAST $150.

Weren't these on sale recently for like $100? Since they are gray (a less popular color than indigo), and since you've worn them, I would guess at most $100, probably less.

If you just want them tighter on your calves, you could taper them. If you want them tighter everywhere, you will probably have to trade them in for a different size or something else entirely, unless they are made from unsanforized (STF) denim. Then they might shrink enough with a hot soak, depending on how much tighter you want them.

Thanks. I want to shrink them ALOT. Would putting them in the dryer after soaking them make them shrink alot?

you need to know what sanforized and non-sanforized raw denim is.

I'm planning on getting some selvedge denim hemmed and tapered. what order should I do that, hem it then taper it to a certain leg opening measurement, or taper it then hem it afterward?

Looking to buy my first pair of selvedge. What is the consensus here for 3sixteen sl 100x and left field greaser jeans? I don't have the opportunity of trying either of these on. For fit reference the jeans that fit me best are stf 501s 30 waist (after wash and several wears they measure a hair under 30 in.). Thanks for any help/suggestions.
