If you want an exotic denim try N&F, if you just want some plain blue jeans APC is a slightly better choice.

by sitting like this or something similar (i like to have my leg up at the computer) would it cause more proneness to crotch tears? only when the denim is fresh? ( so when it softens up its okay? ) ive got a pair of uniqlos that ive worn for 3 years and its only now starting to wither in the crotch area but i always hear people getting crotch tears =S

my (rather) new n&f deep indigos keep bleeding on my suede sneakers, is there anything that I can stop this problem? I already sprayed impregnator on it..

Try tape. Put a layer of tape on the inside of the denim leg opening to prevent it from bleeding on your shoes.

UndefeatedJK My suggestion is to shrink it first. Cause then they might shrink to how you like it. You don't wanna taper them first then shrink because they might be too skinny afterwards.

Interested in a pair of samurais or pure blue japans, could anyone tell me any substantial difference between the two? I'm looking for a slim tapered fit. Also in terms of quality which one is better?

Question concerning n&f.
a friend of mine is new to the raw denim game and it will probably end up with some deep indigos.
What do you recommend for sizing on the different fits?
after some research i'd recommend size down 1 or 2 for the weird guys and slim guys and size down 1 or tts for the skinny guys.
are you d'accord?

I would shrink before you taper. If you taper first, you may not be happy with the fit after shrinking later.

Has Pure Blue Japan ever released denim that wasn't raw? Well besides the no fade blacks...


Most of PBJs models are also sold as one-wash.

A super hoat soak for 30 mins should do it. You can put them into the dryer but that may make them more softer, more indigo loss, and put in some creases down the lines.

Putting denim in the dryer will get you maximum shrinkage, but how much total shrinkage you get depends a lot on what kind of denim you are trying to shrink and if it is sanforized or not. What kind of jeans are you trying to shrink?

I don't think there's a huge difference between the two brands. Both are high-end Japanese denim brands that mostly use slubby, unsanforized denim. PBJ generally uses lighter weight denim and costs a little bit less than Samurai, and Samurai uses heavier weight denim and generally has nicer cosmetic details. Both are excellent brands, you can't go wrong with either one.

I haven't worn either cut in a couple of years, but when I owned a pair of XX-013s, they ran really big. I had to size down 2 from my actual waist measurement just to keep them from being really baggy right from the get-go. I think they've changed the cut since then, they may not run as big anymore.

Im planning on buying a N&F + Flat Head collab based of the weird guy fit. I can where a size 30-32 in levis 511. The smallest pair they have left is a tagged 30 but the size chart lists it at a 32 (why tag it at 30???confused. How do people usually size the N&F weird guys. Does it stretch at all because even at 32 i would need a belt. So in a sense i would be sizing up. I dont know how the wierd guys usually fits, can someone enlighten me on whether to look into it or would sizing up be a bad decision.

Yes, the one wash is mainly to get the shrinkage out.

Waiting on their response. My TS is 31. Would the tagged 30 (size chart 32) suffice? Or would i go by the chart, which would be a 29(31) (sold out sad(( )

I would believe so, yes. I've purchased weirdguys TTS and 1 size down, the TTS was wearable but baggy. Since this denim is un sanforized it will shrink.

unbranded tapered sz32

had em 2 years, but probably wore em like 5-6 months total. they were accidently washed, dried, and folded, so now i have this ugly ass crease on the left leg. anyway to get rid of it? or lessen how sharp it looks?

Figured I would ask here. I'm looking for some clean, simple chinos that would fit a 29x30. Just looking for a nice slim fit. I need to pick up a pair of khaki, grey, and brown chinos.

I have slim 30x30's from BR but they aren't that slim and the 30 waist is too wide. Still gotta cuff em too which sucks.

Any recommendations?
