Is there a particular way one would store it when not wearing to obtain stacks? or is it all simply height?

itll happen with wear. and yeah, assuming the inseam is 34, theyll stack more than a 30 in inseam. and itll depend on your height as well.

You guys probably get this question all the time, but I'm 180 lbs and 5'9-- pretty bulky, not so much fat. Want to get a pair of nudies, and I usually wear slim jeans so I'm about a 32-32 in 514 levis...any idea which fit I should get and if I should adjust the measurements? I sort of think I can fit into slim jims, but my thighs are sort of big (because I fence), any suggestions?

i have some 3sixteens going my way and they need to be hemmed, so i have a few questions

1. should i go to a real tailor or would the laundry place that does alterations fine? the closest tailor that i know right now is at LA which is denim doctor, thats like an hour drive
2. what do i ask the tailor? my friend said chainstitch them, clueless to what that is
3. whats the average price for a hem?

They're pretty generic fashion denims. Washes are usually sub-par and the cotton quality leaves much to be desired.

1. Depends on what specifically you want and #2
2. Tell him to hem them, a chainstitch is just a vintage element like hidden rivets and a selvedge trim coin pocket, only necessary if you're a stickler for tiny details.
3. You can do it yourself with a $3 sewing kit but a simple alteration like that should be no more than $10.

quick question... just got some N&F broken twill as a christmas present and should i pre soak first and then hem and taper? or get them altered then do a presoak?

nah don't pre soak you don't need to, what cut did you get? IMO, if they need to get tapered right off the bat you should have gotten a different cut, i understand its a christmas present doe
if you want to alter em i'm not sure how it goes either you soak to get the shrinkage out then hem or hem and then soak
presoakin it gets rid of that initial starch and it'll be harder to form creases afterwards

is the amount of stretching dependent on how much you size down by? example would be if i went true to size on a pair of jeans, would they stretch less, than if i size down 1 or 2? or is it gonna stretch the same amount no matter what?

Amount of stretching depends on the denim itself mainly, different types of jeans/denim material stretch differently, but might stretch a wee bit more if say you have jeans that are really tight on you, and thus you put more stress into the denim.

I have a pair of G-Star jeans. I would say that the quality is lower than N&F or APC.

I don't know what Skull has been doing lately, but the last pair of jeans I bought from them about a year ago did have a drop-off in denim quality compared to other Skull jeans I have owned in the past.

For PBJ, I would say that the XX-011 or XX-013 fits the most like the Samurai 710, but for these models, the PBJ is a little more tapered and lower rise than the Samurai.

Can anyone comment on these jeans? Are they worth it?

How would I size?

I bought those, and I would say that they are a very good deal at the sale price, but I don't think I'd want to pay any more for them than that. As you can see from the pics, they are higher-waisted straight leg, not a slim fit. I sized down 2 from my actual waist measurement on them.

Black power, spend another 50 and get some pure blue japan..I haven't owned any but they maybe my next pair if I can hold off form buying other things.

Kmz- I would say buy different denim just so you can experience different kinds ya know. Unless you really loved APC. I want PBJ next or something skinnier and a little more tapered than Naked & Famous. I own the skinny guy and weird guy, but I haven't tried WG in 27 yet so I might do that before PBJ. Thing is they don't make every WG in 27.
