Got my PS’s in after getting them hemmed 2″ from the tailor, and the stacks are uneven. What’s the...

I've never tried ironing them, but soaking the part that you want to reset works really well.

not a question about denim , but what happened to sufu?

It seems to have been down since yesterday. Not sure what is the issue though. Maybe they are updating?

Looking to upgrade from my Uniqlo raws which are a little baggy, to something slightly skinnier. I’m a true 30..should I go with a pair of New Standards in 28?

You should do it...my crotch repair was quoted at $112 for my APC NS...

Thinking about starching my APC's. What brands do you guys recommend that don't smell like ass? And do you have to iron them after spraying?

if you chop off exactly 2 inches the end result will be shorter than 30" as the the denim has to be folded and stitch together again.
just ask for a 30" inseam after hemming...

I need help with my APC sizing. I’m a true waist size 35-36″ but closer to 35″. However, I usually fit a size 36 waist best. I bought some APC NS in a 33 a while ago and did not like the fit. They were too baggy and after stretching the waist was a little too big. I also didnt like the leg opening, it wasn’t tapered enough for my taste.

I decided I wanted a skinner fit with a tapered leg so I went with the Petit Standard. I couldn’t decide between a 32″ or 33″. I chose the 32″ APC Petit Standard. I can barely button them, like it takes a lot of effort to get the top button buttoned up. When I tried the 33″ it was also a struggle but much easier to get them all the way buttoned up.

So, in the 32″ PS I bought, the thigh area is skin tight. I have somewhat bigger thighs and the thighs on the 32″ PS are skin tight. Is the thigh area going to stretch a lot too, like the waist? I sized down 3 (true 35, bought 32) but I dont know if I should return them for a 33 instead. So, how much is the waist going to stretch? How much is the thigh area going to stretch? I want a little room in the thigh area rather than it being skin tight. From what I’m reading, sizing down 2 on the PS is the best bet. I sized down 3 and them joints are tight as FAUK!

Thanks in advance. Please give me your advice and input.

The thighs probably won't stretch much. If they're tight now, they'll always be tight. I would size up to a 33 in the PS, or maybe consider the NS in a 32, considering how much the 33 NS stretched out for you.

no doubt 3sixteen. The quality of the denim is pretty different man, 3sixteen beats apc in every way i feel except maybe the cuts. Apc has a lot more choice with the fits, especially the way you can size differently. But quality wise and fading properties I say go with 3sixteen, you won't be disappointed man.

I agree, I like APC's cuts better, APC has some of the best cuts in the world, but the construction quality and denim is better on the 3sixteens.

Does unsanforized denim stretch after the pre-soak? I have been eyeing some sg-2105's and I wanted to know if after the first shrink soak I should expect more stretching.

Dam good luck finding some for sale. From what I remember they(Flats) are a hair slimmer in the thigh down to the leg opening.

Yes yes denim all stretches with wear. I've never had SGs Kiya would surely know but I wouldn't size down expecting to stretch them out if that's what you're thinking.

I've worn both before, and I would say that the Inazumas fit fairly similarly to the XX-005s. However, the PBJs run a little bit big and stretch a lot. If you wear Inazumas in a 28 and your actual waist measurement is 29", a size 31 PBJ is going to be way too big on you.

Yeah, all unsanforized denim will stretch with wear after soaking. Different denims stretch different amounts, though. According to Self Edge's website, the 2105 denim will stretch up to an inch in the waist with wear.

If you wear the PBJs in a size 31, the size 28 Inazumas will be way too small for you.

What brand would you guys recommend for someone looking for a ~150$ budget raw denim brand? Best bang for my buck. I only know APC. If it keeps its indigo well that would be nice.

Denim Doctors does a good job of tapering jeans. Not sure if they can do satin-lined, but I don't see why not.

In that price range, Naked & Famous is probably the most popular raw denim brand along with APC. 3sixteen is also a good raw denim brand in the same price range as APC.
