Nubby question, copypasta'd from a another forum, cuz no one answered:

I want have a pair tapered (they dont stack properly) and was wondering if this could be done without altering the selvege seam?


Yes it can be done from the inside leg seam. However it is more difficult to do and maybe more expensive.

Much props to ya, fam. Another Q, how drastic (probably wrong wording) should the taper be? I mean, the leg opening is 9.5", would 8"/8.5" be the magic number? Also, how will altering the inseam as opposed to the more orthodox methods affect, if at all, the fit of my jawns?

There is not really a magic number. The best thing to do is when you go into the tailors they will pin the jeans while you are wearing them and you can decide if you like them or if you want more/less taper.

Altering them from the inseam won't really affect the fit any differently.

501xx means they're shrink to fit. they are raw denim

My PBJs the seam around the cuffs of my left leg opening, not sure what you'd call it, is falling apart. It's been coming off for a while now but I'd just cut it, seems like it's going to reach the selvage area soon, anyway to fix this, because just cutting it doesn't seem to be preventing it lol.

Does anyone know a denim brand with a coin pocket selvege line that's mainly red?

The jewns in question also looked like deep indigo. With plain rear pockets.

^ nah bru, they weren't N&F's. I thought I'd ask since the guy who had them on had a dope fit and his fades were coming in nicely. Man that dark red selvege line will haunt me for a while.

Does anyone know the difference between 29x29 Levi's 510s for adults, and the size 18 (29x29) Levi's Kids 510, if there is any? They're half the price of the adult ones so I'm wondering why. My sister said the legs on the kids ones might be wider?

To those of you who have had both unbranded and apc denim, what apc cut and size should i get to get a fit similiar to unbranded tapered 31? I went TTS. A reply back would be appreciated.

Oh yeah i've owned a pair of APC NS in 28 and stretched out too much for my liking.

recently lost a lot of weight (went down 2 inches in waist or so)... thing is, i have a couple of pairs of APC's (PS and NS) that I've worn for a while now (the PS is around 16 months of wear, the NS is around 9-12)

I didn't soak either of them when I first got them, but I've washed the PS a couple of times...

Is it still possible to soak in warm/hot water to shrink them?!

If anything's gonna shrink them it will be a hot soak surely, so you might aswell try it.

Its worth a try. Also you could put them in the dryer afterwards on a really high heat.

I just bought a pair of imperials which were hemmed to a 30 inseam (I think they were originally 36). Leg opening is about 9 inches flat. Is there anything I can do to get the leg opening tightened up? Would I have to get the entire pair restructured?

gettem tapered, unless you want a bootcut but just a smaller opening then just tell them that.

I just got my STF's in, but I'm in college... So i don't have a bathtub to soak them in. Can I Soak them in a laundry sink and then put them on? Or should I just shower in them?

If you put lighter fluid on it, and then torched them. You'd not only get rid of the ugly face patches, but also the ugly jeans.
