I posted this in the Urban Outfitter thread but figured I would try my luck here.
I have a pair of tapered fit that ive been wearing for around 2 months now, and want to soak them. Would I use a hot or cold soak, and for how long?

Thanks.

^depends on what ur tryin to achieve from the soak. if u want max shrinkage and to get rid of excess dye do hot soak, otherwise just do cold.

I'm 6'4 tall and I currently wear uniqlo s-002 jeans size 32x34(34 is the longest they have). I want to get a bit more stacks and was wondering where I could get jeans with similar fit for around the same price but longer.

is it ok if new raw denim get's wet in the rain, but not soaked? i know you're not supposed to wash it becuase the threads will soak the dye and it wont break.

avoid the rain if possible. the dye can bleed onto ur shit, which is pretty bad.

Someone already answered your question, and it's been answered numerous times as well.

Hot for max shrinkage and dye loss. Too cold will cause indigo loss as well.

If I where to buy a pair of Uniqlo S-001 kahki's that have been hemmed from a 32" to 30", would I be able to unhem them? A 30 is a bit too short for my liking.

no, hemming requires cutting, you can't go back.
unless you still have the same exact peice that was cut and sew it back.
but it would look horrible.

Black Scale had some awhile back for around $80. Maybe you can find some on the market place.

Would it be possible to make Puma x Evisu jeans a completely smaller size while still having them look good? Hemming them to a shorter length wouldn't be a problem. Making the waste a smaller size and the entire pant legs seem troublesome. I would like to taper the entire pant leg and take a few inches off the waist. Would this be possible and would it turn out well?

this just seems quite pointless, if you didnt like the fit then why would u get it. It'd be the same as me buying a pair of APC rescues just so i can get them tailored to fit like my PS

Is it possible to alter/taper just the leg part of the jean below the knee only?.
I brought some Nudie that are 34 waist yet the leg opening is a bit loose compared to my other Nudie's that are 32 waist yet i dont want to size down cos i've put weight on hence me going up in the waist.
I wanna take maybe 1/2 inch off the leg width from the leg opening.

Not true. Tapering can be done anywhere along the leg. You just need to be specific as to where you want it done.

Thats untrue as Solix said but from the knee below is what i want for this pair as it tapers from the knee slightly anyway so want to stick with that.

Prison stripe denim
I'm looking for a pair of denim with a "prison stripe" that
runs down the outside leg. Not the horizontal black & white
stripes like a Halloween costume but dark blue or black denim
with a single stripe down the leg - something like this photo:

Anyone ever see something like this? Would prefer an on-line
seller and big name isn't a priority - in fact the cheaper the
better.

(MOD - please delete the other thread I posted. Thanks)
