Anyone know if Julian Red Hoboken are skinny denim or slim fit?
Dec 04, 2009 @ 20:21
personally id say slim fit. they fit me looser than my apc ps's and my tfds's.

i went into the official levi thread and got so many mixed responses about sizing on levi 501 stfs.

alright so, i saw them at a store for $32 and thought it was a good deal, but i am confused. my size with some bagginess is 31x31, if i was to go a little skinnier it'd be 30x30. what size of STF should i get to achieve the fit most people have on here. thanks

(and the sizes i mentioned were before i wash them if that helps)

^31, once u soak them they should slim down a bit

how much longer do people go , length wise, to get stacks?

If I want my nudies cleaned but without machine washing, how would i go about this? (I don't mean dry cleaning btw.)
Dec 08, 2009 @ 18:14
flip them inside out let them sit out in the sun
Dec 08, 2009 @ 20:58
^ I don't see why not? It will just take longer, esp if it's too big for you.

If I wear my STFS everyday AFTER school would the fading process still work?

As long as you put wear into them the fading process will still go on

Different tailors have different rates but I've seen someone say that their taper cost about $15~$20.

That's the average from what I've gotten here in Michigan, make sure they're good, though.
Dec 09, 2009 @ 21:42
Yes, if your denim is selvedge, its best to inform your tailor to keep it intact.

You'll be fine then. A good source to use is www.yelp.com, type in Tailor and then your City,State. Based on reviews, you will find your best tailor around your area, good luck.

What do the fit PRPS Raw Selvedge Slim Jeans comapare to in terms of levis. 511 514 510?
Dec 11, 2009 @ 01:55
Might be a stupid question but just how is tapering done on jeans? Do they just open up the leg up to the knee and taper from there or?!?!
Dec 11, 2009 @ 02:56
They unstitch the outseam and then pull it in to get the amount of taper that the owner wanted

Dec 11, 2009 @ 18:44
Can selvage be tapered? just wondering..

hoe

Dec 11, 2009 @ 18:54
Yes, but some tailors cut it off when they taper them so its good to inform them that you want to keep the selvedge intact.

Dec 11, 2009 @ 19:24
Hmm is it possible to just taper from the knee down and not have the area above it changed?
Dec 11, 2009 @ 19:27
yes it is
Dec 11, 2009 @ 19:57
that's how they taper, from the knee down
Dec 12, 2009 @ 16:31
i'm looking for a pair of black jeans (overdyed, not raw denim). I like the fit of my apc ns denim. anyone have any suggestions?
Dec 12, 2009 @ 20:36
if im gonna get my denim hemmed, would i have to tell them to keep them tapered, with the same leg opening? what would you say.
Dec 12, 2009 @ 23:02
can anybody recommend a pair of raw grey jeans? looking for a slim/skinny fit like levi's 510 or 511
