You could search this with the search button but..
Hot soak - more shrinkage, and the denim will bleed more,
Cold Soak - less shrinkage, less denim bleed

basics on the hot/cold soak question

how do i accelerate fades

and create symetrical fades

Dude. Just shut up and wear your denim, stop coming in here with unintelligent questions that you even know yourself are ridiculously stupid. Sometimes it would be good to use your brain and think before you even type out a post.

How do you think I would know how anyone can get symmetric fades? I am being helpful by telling you to help yourself first before asking, this forum has a search button, learn how to use it, and don't bother other people about how to use the search button although I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know how to.

Get it? You probably don't still.

And I'm glad you agree that your question was in fact, stupid.

a few questions:
I'm looking to pick up some cheaper raw denim, most likely APC. I mostly wear levi 511s in a 34x34. I'm about 6'4 and i don't think these are doing it for me on length. They also don't taper much in the ankles or calves. I think new cures look like the best fit for me, i'm just wondering on sizing. I want them to get decent stacking and to be slim or tapered. The 34 levi waist is as low as I can go in that brand.

^APC is prolly not ur best choice, cuz they only come in 34" inseams.

I need some advice...

I'm a broke college student and I really REALLY need a new pair of jeans. I don't know where to look at... I live in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

There is an H&M Store here..but I'm not sure how they fit. I bought a pair along time ago but lost em'. My waist size is 32. Do they still sell sliqs?

I'm not sure about Canada but the U.S. still stocks sliqs so there should be a good change of CA H&M's stocking them. The sliq fit is a slim fit with a tapered leg, they also have the Squin(or something like that) which is a skinny cut.

im not sure if this had been asked before, but i don't want to search the whole thread.

what do you hbsters think about asking people about their denim in public? i work at target, and the town that i live is home to st olaf and carleton colleges. i see students that look like they may be from japan in there almost every day. on occasion i see some wicked pbjs, imperials, and sams go by. i always want to stop and ask them how long they've been wearing them for. would you be freaked out if a stranger asked you this?

Naw that just means the direction of the diagonal produced by the weft threads is reversed after no more than two passages of the weft, in simpler terms, its still denim but just weaved in a different way
