Just tried on my first pair of new standards which I went down 2 sizes to a 28. The thigh is extremely tight and I am going to get them hemmed this week.

which stores could i go to try some APC's on except the store in new york? Like do any common places carry them? Cause I have seen Nudies at Century 21 before.

Crotch area is still tight
So the waist has already stretched out far enough but the crotch and thigh areas are still tight. Will it stretch? Has this happened to anyone?

How do you prolong a crotch blow? If you were asking the best way to prevent it, then the answer would be not to sag. Sagging can put significant tension on the denim in the crotch area and may cause an early blowout.

Anyways, my NCs just came in. =D I'm about 6'0'', 155-160ish I think, and was able to button them all the way up (albeit with considerable difficulty). I'll post fit pics in a few once they loosen up a bit.

I measured my waist and it's 33

I got tag 29 (waist is 31)

At first, I could button everything but it's difficult on the last one.

It stretched out A LOT and I'm able to button to last one comfortably. You should be fine. after 2 weeks, if not let us know.

kancer just wear it outside and sag. mine were super tight, to the point its not comfortable to wear in, to now 2nd week and its just kinda slim

Can someone tell me how much stretch they got on their NC's? I've worn these for 2 days and they've stretched about an inch.. im hoping I can squeeze another inch out on the waist and they'll be good.

ktan09, i got these next pair of selvedge jeans tapered, and they just did it on the inner side, so the selvedge was not affected. seeing how ur just hemming them, they just sew the bottom half like normal pants.

if you get your jeans hemmed, maybe try to get them chainstitched since APCs aren't chainstitched. btw its selvage or selvedge, not self edge. that's a store.

Dilemma: okay I've been rocking my new cures for like 7-8 months..never soaked them. Its time for a wash because their a bit stinky. But I'm uneasy about how to wash em. should i hand wash/soak em...or throw them in a washing machine and dryer...please help me!

zang, maybe u should soak em, but i would've just febreezed it. if u want to wash, just soak in tub, room temp water wit a bit of detergent, something to weight it down, and just dont touch it until u feel like its clean, then just hang dry. i think this would be least amount of indigo loss, but still cleaning the jeans. never use dryer cause it ruins the jeans by softenign up the cotton. always hang dry.
