depends how skinny you are, I'm pretty sure it would be a bad idea, you can size down 3 from new standards though

Do not size down three, that would be death. Going tts will be good for the first couple of wears but that shit will stretch like crazy. Size down two or one depending on how skinny you want it. I sized down two and that shit was heaps tight but now they've stretched out perfectly.

Not 100% sure on this issue, but (from my recent purchase experience) APC doesn't seem to do vanity sizing anymore. Can someone confirm this?

Im a 34 waist and got 32, and i could button the top button with ease. I think i should have went with a 31.

Dont get a 34, a tagged 34 in Petit Standards will equal a 36 waist. My tagged 32 measured 17 inches flat.

Go with 32 or even 31

28 NC's. My true upper waist is 30.5', lower waist 32.5'. Should I go for 29' in PS for a bit more relaxed fit to wear with shoes/boots?

I would never wear PS with boots, leg opening is just too slim

Get em patched man. My crotch started to get tattered on my NC's and the tailor got em fixed up easily.

^you could probably learn how to do it yourself too if you don't wanna spend that bread on getting them patched.

yeah ive done that, but I believe there could be a better jeans with no more breaking like Sean Hotchkiss of GQ says:

3x1 M5
"I rarely buy a jean on repeat and I like to roll with a few at a time. It's nice to spend some time on each pair and really get to know them. I wore a couple pairs of APC petite standards for four years until the crotches blew out, and I'm currently in 3x1 M5's (washed once, no more breaking in raw denim for me, ever) and BLK DNM medium blues that I absolutely love. Next up? Baldwin Henleys in California Wash for the summer. That should cover my jean spectrum...for now."—Sean Hotchkiss, The GQ Eye

decided to measure my waist size, and what do you know? A nigga actually went up two inches smh. I originally was a 30" waist probably a year ago and copped a tagged size 28 ps. My conclusion: APC has definitely not modified their fit, and I'm a dumbass. Sizing down 2 on ps isn't really that bad anyway.
